Bio and Links
Bio Photo My husband says I spend too much time in graveyards, doing genealogy and on the computer. Maybe he's right.
My favorite cemeteries are Mount Hebron in Winchester, Virginia, and Rock Creek in Washington, D. C.

- When I started contributing to Find A Grave the following was listed under FAQs:

What are your naming conventions?
Naming conventions:
Unless the legal name contains a hyphen, punctuation, including the () and /, should not be included in the memorial name. Full capitalization (ALL-CAPS) of names should not be used, whether it be surname or the full name.

- I see that they have changed their FAQs to the following:

What are your naming conventions?
Naming conventions:
Unless the legal name contains a hyphen, punctuation, including the () and /, should not be included in the memorial name. Periods are to be used after initials, as in normal English. Full capitalization (ALL-CAPS) of names should not be used, whether it be surname or the full name. Suffixes and Prefixes do not belong in any name field.

- I am adhering to what was the convention on Find A Grave when I first checked FAQs.  Rather than change over 18,000 memorials, I will stick with the original rule.

The Shreve & Copley Families
Audrey - thank you so much for your consideration in transferring the memorial pages from Oakwood. My husband's family is so much more interesting to research - lot's of documentation; whereas my family were mostly farmers and not much of a paper trail. Thanks again!

Brown Neeter Haley
Hi, I believe that Brown Neeter Haley's birth date is 1890, from what I can see on the photo that I have recently posted from Fairview Cem., Culpeper, VA. He could have lived to be over 100 years old, but you may want to recheck the date.

Tks, Pam

RE: Aurelia Watkins
I agree with your assessment on Aurelia. I had a horrible time reading this particular grave and finally found a match when I was down to the last 7 or 8 graves in Trinity without pictures. I also agree that this grave is in Trinity...I have been trying to get about 50 graves moved from Christ Church over to Trinity. It really isn't anyone's fault, it is a large complex and the dividing lines are really only apparent if you know where to look!

Thanks for your help!

Hi Audrey,

Thank you for posting a photo of my grandparents gravesite. My dad was their son. Both my parents passed away earlier this year and I am planning a trip back to Virginia to spread some of their ashes... I am so grateful to know where my grandparents are buried so I can visit when I return to Virginia.

Much gratitude,
