Bio Photo I have been working on my family genealogy for about 26 years and enjoy helping others in the process. What a great website we have here to be able to help others with their research and bringing so many families together in the process.

Under the "EDIT" key: You can Suggest a correction or provide additional information for any entry that I have made. Please send over the Parents and Spouse links on this also. You can also ask for a transfer under the EDIT key, then I have your ID # and can easily do the transfer for you.

I would be happy to transfer ownership of a record that I have added, if they are family and have more information that they would like to add.

Thank you for all the flowers and notes that have been added to the memorials that I have posted.

Children of Eli Curtis (#400609410 and Elizabeth Bennett(#74959887)
Do you have any additional information on Anna Fairbanks Curtis, born 19 Nov 1809, Charlton, MA, daughter of Eli Curtis and Elizabeth Bennett? She appears to be the only child not named in the list of their children on findagrave (and, of course, she is my direct ancestor) Anna married William Mills 5 Dec 1824 according to a deposition she made in Monroe County when she filed for divorce for desertion in 1855. It is not clear, but it appears that she filed for the divorce so that she could inherit from her father Eli's estate without her husband being involved.
William and Ann had at least 6 children: Clarinda b 1832 who married James B. Kelley, Elizabeth (my 2nd great grandmother) b 1836, who married David Vance, Margaret J. b 1840, Anna b 1841 who married Wilson Robbins, William N. b 1844 married Mary Campsadela Valentine, and Sarah Jane b 1845 who married Hezekiah Pryor.
The last I find Anna Mills, is 1880 census, Noble, Stock, OH. Anna is 75, living alone, b MA, father b MA, mother b RI.
Did not find her at Curtis Ridge when I walked the cemetery many years ago, but lots of faded stones and ground hog holes.
I have a lot about her descendants and even more about her ancestors, would like to find where shw is buried and if there were any additiona children.

Re: Hal Gilmore
Hello,

Yes, Hal S. Gilmore name is listed on Find A Grave in 2 different cemeteries! Dang! Sometimes when an error like this is spotted, it mushrooms ... I discovered there are a total of 4 Gilmores listed in both cemeteries! I found Hal's death certificate & it has Fernwood as the cemetery where he's buried.

Judy Clark-Wick created all these memorials in both cemeteries. I know she used the cemetery listing books from Greene Co. to enter the names. We worked with her on Greene Co. burials, where she would enter the names, then we would take photos of the stones & enter them. Judy passed away earlier this year and I was able to get all her books from her son. Also, some of her memorials were transferred to me by Find A Grave so I could keep them updated.

The curious thing is that under Plot location for all these Gilmores, she has Mausoleum and I don't think Pinetree has a Mausoleum but Fernwood does. And in the cemetery book for Pinetree, these 4 Gilmores are not listed. So I don't know how she got them doubled up!

I'll have to work with Find A Grave to get all of these merged & in the correct Fernwood Cemetery.

Thanks for notifying me about this.

RE: Transfer request
Thank you, Cheryl. I should have paid more attention to the page, then I would have seen who actually entered the info. Thanks for the note.

I would like to ask that you transfer the Dan Reed memorial (5197550) to me. I am Dan's brother.
How was it that you entered his info?
Thank you.
