Thank you for all the Reynolds transfers from the Reynolds plot! I don't know yet who they all are, but should be able to eventually get them sorted out.
Your friend with the pictures of the Southside Cemetery said that you're a retired teacher. My great grandmother Flora (Florentine in childhood census records) (Reynolds) Galbraith, who was a daughter of David F. Reynolds and granddaughter of John Reynolds Sr. & Elizabeth in Glenside Cemetery came from Wayne Co. with her parents to be a public school teacher in Jackson Co., Iowa. She worked her way up to teaching in the high school in Maquoketa prior to marrying. Since her father David was a carpenter, they could go just about anywhere to live. Sharon

RE: Eliza Reynolds Sheffer
Elizabeth Ann "Eliza" (Reynolds) Sheffer would have been born about 1826. I'm not seeing any memorials for the James & Elizabeth Sheffer in the Huron Evergreen Cemetery. Can you make out the age on the headstone for Eliza (Reynolds) Sheffer in Glenside?
In Evergreen, there's an 1850's marker and memorial for a 2 yr. old William Sheffer, son of J. & E. Sheffer. Is there anyone in Glenside's Reynolds family plot who I haven't included in the linked memorials? There was a sibling of David named Peter Reynolds m. to a Harriet, as well as a Mary Reynolds m. to a Howe in David's 1863 petition to administer his late father's estate. I need to get back to my chores, but will examine this again later. Sharon

RE: Eliza Reynolds Sheffer
That's interesting. According to the 1863 petition of David F. Reynolds to administer his late father's estate, his sister Elizabeth Ann (Reynolds) Sheffer was married to a James Sheffer. Maybe the one in Evergreen is the correct one? I need to get off the computer, but will take a closer look at this tomorrow. Thank you for the additional information. Sharon

RE: Eliza Reynolds Sheffer
The historian back in the 1980's must've mixed up the two in what she was telling me about Eliza. Some of my footnotes on data from her refer to Glenside Cemetery records. Does that mean that the Wayne Co. historian has the Glenside Cemetery records that would indicate if my GG grandmother's sister Emily Westfall was buried there 1860-1869, as is her son Christopher? Elizabeth Reynolds
Thank you for the transfer. This is going to be interesting. One of the people with a Reynolds tree listing her on is a descendant of Alfred Reynolds. The person with the tree has Alfred as a son of of John Reynolds Sr. and Elizabeth, but John's 1859 will indicated that Alfred was their grandson, a son of John Reynolds Jr. I sent him a correction email. There are so many errors in the family trees on My Reynolds research is mostly pre-computer starting in 1982. Do you know if Wayne Co. still has a county historian helping people with their family history research? Sharon

RE: David F. Reynolds
Thank you very much for the additional information! It's much appreciated. I think Elmyra (Murphy) Reynolds also had a sister Emily (Murphy) Westfall buried around 1866 in that cemetery, but she might not have a headstone. You added a nice headstone photo for Emily's son Christopher Westfall. If she was buried there, she probably would have been buried near him. I think Emily's husband headed west, remarried, and is buried in possibly Oregon. I plan to copy your new information to examine more closely when I can and share it with cousins who I know are interested, too. You're doing a great job! Sharon

RE: Parents of Priscilla Pinney
Joseph had four wives that are proven. Given the time of Priscilla's birth she would have to be daughter of Joseph and 2nd wife, Sarah ?. 1st wife, Lydia Hibbard, died in 1788. Second wife, Sarah ?, died 1793. Third wife, Lydia Dean, married after 1793, died 1832. Fourth wife, Sarah ?, married Lewis Stone after death of Joseph in 1842. Fourth wife, Sarah is gleamed from estate records of Joseph in 1842.

Elizabeth Reynolds
You're right, Elizabeth was the first wife of John Reynolds and the mother of his children. Mary "Polly" Reynolds was the second wife. Nice work! Sharon
