Rebecca Sturgill Strother

First, thanks for all your contributions to this website! I want to confirm that the pic you posted of JP Strother's headstone is in the Coalton Cemetery.

I've traveled to/through Boyd/Carter county a couple of times and always take a crack at finding family headstones in that cemetery, but never have any luck. If you can point me toward this one, maybe my luck will change? :)

(I'm connected to Rebecca Sturgill Strother, JP Strother's wife) via her sister, Mary Ellen Sturgill Hedrick. Many/most of the Hedricks are supposed to be in the Coalton Cemetery . . . somewhere.

Thanks for your time!

Sorry to try to contact you this way but I believe we emailed about six years ago regarding my Fraley family. At that time did you have a "rogncarol" email? If so, I'd love to contact you again via email to give you some update. If not, sorry to be of bother. My email is available on my Find A Grave profile Arizona Kid 46520230 Thanks much.

Ansel and Freda Walker at Greendale Cemetery
Thanks for creating these memorials and for the gravestone photo. They are now linked to their son Robert who married one of my husband's cousins.

Jane was thomas woodfords dau. Im a direct dec of thomas of Bedford Va. near Huddleston va. if any of all do any dna testing I would be intrested inthe results and also im intrested in finding out more about Thomas wife Eliz . I show Mcpike as her maiden name but no record of their marriage.. I found the cabin site Jane lived in with her parents and the mill site. I hope to visit it this summer. They were quakers and her ( Jane) lookslike she named some of her children after her siblings. I was born in Bedford va. The Woodfords were confederate and family tradition says were related to Gen William Woodford of the Rev War. I live in St Charles MO

Clark Family Cemetery
I added a second picture of Thomas Barr's gravestone, which might be a little easier to read?? Thank you for photographing this and other small cemeteries in that area..I was amazed when I saw they had been done. My brother lives near here and we walked to it on Easter Sunday and told the Clark Family they have not been forgotten.

Benjamin and Susannah "Moonglow" Hamilton

My name is Cindy Hamilton. I am a direct descendent of Benjamin and Susannah "Moonglow" Hamilton. I see you added the pictures for their graves. I was wondering if you would be able to give me more information on the location of the graves other then it is located behind the old Moon, KY Post Office. Do you have a street address for it? I would like to go and pay my respects. Thank you in advance for your help with this.

Old Hill Cemetery

I'm doing research on family members mostly in the Daviess County area. My parents both grew up in Jamesport, MO. My paternal side is Hampton/Endicott and maternal is Hayes,Hays/ McCoy

About half of Old Scotland Cemetery is related with McCoy, Scott, Hampton etc. but others scattered around. My great grandfather Samuel H Hayes has a sister, Cadora A. Hays buried in Old Hill and I visited the cemetery last summer to try and locate and photograph her tombstone, but it had grown up so much that it just wasn't possible.

I read an article in the Gallatin News where it had been cleared in 2012, but it sure had grown over quickly. I came home to Blue Springs, MO with more tics than photos.

I may try again to visit this fall, but was wondering if there are any plans to clear it again and offer my help if there is. It's a 200 mile round trip for me, but would be glad to make the trip and help. The article gave the name Lanita Smith to contact and I'm assuming that's a relation to you. If I need to contact her I'll do so.

Thanks for any information you can offer.

RE: Wheeler/Cazzell
hi Carolyn, thanks for your reply! I still think Marjorie Linnie Cazzell was his mom though. Margorie Linnie Cazzell Wheeler had a brother named Gabriel Harrison Cazzell, so he probly named after him.Another one of their brothers was Joseph M. Cazzell, he was my gr ge grandfather. I can send you more why I thin Marjey Cazzell Wheeler his mom. Yes Henry had a first wife, then next Margery Cazzell, and third he married a Deal.
