I'm grateful to those who have helped me in my research and am happy to return the favor. |
For every memorial I enter onto this site, that's another memorial that has a chance of getting into the right hands of family or friends, so they can continue to add their relatives.
Thanks to everyone who has sent encouraging and positive thoughts!
I am not one of those people who refuse to transfer in or out of guidelines. I will gladly transfer to you unless it is my direct relative.
On each memorial please use the "EDIT" button and then the "Suggest a Correction" (SAC) to request transfer.
Please do not forget to add your FIND A GRAVE number, without that I cannot do a transfer.
Please feel free to use any cemetery or grave photos I have posted on Findagrave for your use, public or private.
Blessings to all.
I welcome any correction or requests for transfers:
I will NOT add grave markers to memorials that are NOT in the correct cemetry.
PLEASE DO NOT add copies of newspaper clippings to the picture section, or the flower section, forward me the information, and I will glady enter the information in the BIO section, where it belongs.
PLEASE DO NOT ADD Double headstones to the memorials, Please let me know yours is better and I will delete mine

|Pamela Kercheville||Joseph H Proctor 1858-1938|
I believe this is the man that worked on the Flying E and Murphy Cattle Co with my Great Uncle James Monroe "Jim" Swisher 1860-1926. They both were from the same area in Texas. My Uncle from Austin and Joe from Burnet. Joe probably came up on cattle drive with Jim. They both too are buried at the Forsth Cemetery in Montana. In my Uncle's obit on Find A Grave you will read it speaks of Joe as this quote "Negro Proctor, one of the old Flying E cow punchers and faithful servants of the Swisher's was one of the chief mourners." I found a lady on Facebook that currently lives in Montana and she is looking for 2 pics that she says she has of Joe Proctor that were passed down to her. I also found just last night a poem written about Joe Proctor by Wallace McRae "Cowboy Curmudgeon and Other Poems" titled OL'Proc. It is on page 44 and 45 of the book. I love finding hidden info on my relatives lives and sharing what I have found. Sometimes such a small world. Thought that I would share with you since you did Joseph's post on Find A Grave (Find A Grave). If you find any pics please let me know as I am looking. I am also trying to find out whatever happened to my Great Uncle's wife, Mamie Moss/Swisher. I found a 1900 census reading she born Jul 1878 in Montana and Married Feb 1 1897, Sheridan, Wyoming. Then a 1909 dir Miles City, Montana reading she resident at Hotel Coggshall. Then she just disappears. Jim has many newspaper articles about him in Montana and Wyoming because he was a Deputy Sheriff and quite a character. He shot and killed Buck Hanby (Bob Minor) May 17, 1889 while Buck running with Sundance Kid. So I just can not figure out why I can not find out any info on his wife. If you can help me or lead me to someone who can I would appreciate it.

Okay--Dorinda's wishes were to be buried with her mother. The mortuary in IF and my sister both have said this is what they know. What happened to the cremains between Idaho and Montana they cannot clarify. There would be no headstone for her unless the family decided to add one to Joyce's. Her cremains would be added to Rin's mom's grave. Does this help? Two of my cousins also had this done and there are no markers added to the graves. Sad. But thank you, Karen, for letting me know. This was definitely a day of memory work. Pat
