Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and reared in the Pittsboro, Middle Twp. area and still am residing here. I have a great family for which I am proud to be a part of. Have searched many years for my ancestors, my husband's and many extended family members and their history.
When I find a picture or am given a picture to place with a name, it's like getting a piece of a gold mine, so to speak.

I like to add my ancestors and connected ancestors to Find A Grave, so they won't be forgotten. And too, I hope that some of my younger family members will get the urge to further search, and break down some of my "brick walls". This will give them a beginning searching tool. This is why I like to add family members and etc to my memorials, instead of just posting the birth and death dates, which too are very important.

I thank and appreciate Find A Grave, for letting me do so. Also appreciate all the pictures placed on my memorials, the leads given and the links to family members. Last, but not least, I appreciate and give thanks to all those wonderful people who have restored stones and cemeteries.
So in closing, I do thank all that have aided me in my search.

RE: Wrightsman+
Thank you so much for answering my question so quickly. It sounds like you found my Ancestry page. I do have it as public. Ruby wrote her life story. I have been keying it and uploading it.

I am the youngest of Ruby and Loran's siblings and am their 1/2 siblings. We had the same mother different fathers. Loran's children are trying trace the Wrightsman name back.

My tree is listed as Melisa Walls tree if you have an Ancestry account.

Once again thank you so much.

Elizabeth Bryant Edwards Wrightsman Overton
Is there any way you could give me information on where this information is from please. Elizabeth was the daughter of George W. and Sarah "Sally"
(DeMoss) Bryant.
Elizabeth was the mother of John B., George W., amd Sarah J.
Edwards, Charles Y. Nancy and Peter Wrightsman,
and Willis Overton.

Elizabeth married Jesse Edwards in 1827 in Adair Co.,
married Eli Wrightsman in 1838 and he died in 1848.
Married for the third time to to Jesse Overton on
Dec 8, 1850.
It is believed Elizabeth died giving birth to their son,
Willis.
Especially about Eli Wrightsman. My mother was married to one of his Great Great Grandson's Loran Wrightsman. My email is msfan59@hotmail.com

Thank you very much!!1

RE: Pittsboro School
Louzina, thank you for this nice message. I had forgotten Lloyd Merritt and of course I remember him along with Myron Stewart, Pat Weaver and Pat Williams (who worked at the Maplewood General Store)and many more. Wife Jan and I have visited Pittsboro in recent years and yes, it was a shame to see the old school buildings torn down. But they call that "progress". I probably knew you back then also, but then brother Jim and I were only there 3 years, then back to Danville. Thank you for your reply.

Good luck, Wayne

Pittsboro
Louzina,

My brother Jim and I attended Pittsboro schools from Mar 1946 to Mar 1949, then returned to Danville where we both graduated. I (Wayne) was in the class with Charles Thompson, Glenn Servies to name a couple and our 6th grade teacher was Mr. Harold Vest. (his daughter Janell was in our class also) and Mr. Vest's wife taught the 5th grade. Pittsboro still had the "old barn" as a gym behind the two school buildings at that time, but was building a new one. I played basketball under coach Bill Schlifer and he was like a father figure. I understand NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon later attended Pittsboro schools. I now live in Iowa with my wife Jan, retired and loving our senior age. I love doing ancestry work and refer to find-a-grave often. Have a great day.

RE: Sarah Howlett
Louzina - Thanks for the update, however, in the future please use the correct procedure for this. Go to the memorial, click on the "EDIT" tab at the top and then on "Suggest a Correction ...". That way I'll get the actual memorial in question with the memorial number and your contributor number. I have memorials all over the U.S. and without the memorial number or location of the grave, etc., it takes time finding them. Thanks!

William Riggan
Louzina, I recently found that Wm Riggan our Great grandfather is not buried here. And is actually buried in Morgan County, Indiana #130258928 also found is: Virgil Riggan, John Henry Riggan and Flora E Lewis-Riggan, and Alice Riggan-Rusher amazing find plz check them out. Which leads me to believe the stone found here is really that of Jacob Riggan 1788-1867 I have asked my neice to go there with me and either we will set that stone right or hire it done. Soon as we can get the chance, meaning $$$ and time. lol

Thanks, Roxanne
