|I became interested in genealogy when my parents passed away without leaving any record of family beyond my great grandparents. Find A Grave has been a great benefit to me in my search and I, therefore, choose to return the favor by establishing memorials on the site. |
If I duplicate a memorial, please know that it is unintentional as I check before posting. The memorial pages I create are done so with the utmost respect & I try to always leave flowers.
If I have created any memorials of your relatives and you would like to manage them I'd be more than happy to transfer them upon request...just tell me how you are related when you make your transfer request.
Please make your correction or transfer request by clicking "Edit" at the top right side of the memorial page for which you are requesting a transfer. It saves me a lot of time searching for it. Our deceased loved ones should have their memorials cared for by relatives who knew and loved them most.

Mary H. Horder M.D., age 68, of Atlanta, Georgia passed away Friday, May 30, 2014. She was preceded in death by her son, Allen Marshall Young Horder.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years Richard Horder, daughter Kimberly H. Craig and son-in law Shawn M. Craig, Sr., five grandchildren (Shawn Michael, Ethan Alexander, Joshua Horder, John-Robert and Gracely Rivers Marylayne), daughter Alexis Blair Horder, brothers Arthur Haecker (Suzanne), Charles Haecker (Louanna), Harry Haecker (Wendy), sister Helen Loeb (Lloyd), sisters-in-law, Robin Horder-Koop (Al), Tracy Loughlin (Ed), and many nieces and nephews and their families, all of whom she dearly loved.
Mary was born in Douglas, Georgia, the eldest of five children. She attended 17 schools before graduating high school. Mary earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1972, undertook a Fellowship in Ultrasound Medicine at Queen Charlotte's Maternity Hospital, London, England, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Emory University School of Medicine/Grady Memorial Hospital. She then joined the faculty at Emory University School of Medicine and was head of the Ultrasound Department until she entered private practice in Snellville, GA in 1980. Dr. Horder was the first female OB/GYN in Gwinnett County and was one of the first female physicians to practice OB/GYN in the metropolitan Atlanta area. She practiced at Eastside Hospital for almost 30 years and delivered approximately 10,000 babies, including two of her grandchildren, welcoming every single one into the world with a kiss. During her life, she was active in numerous organizations including Leadership Atlanta, Honduras Outreach, Planned Parenthood, The Feminist Women's Health Center, and International Women's House, a shelter for abused women and children. After her retirement, through the auspices of The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International, she made 11 trips to Rwanda for extended stays to work at the Bisate Health Clinic to treat patients and train clinic health workers. In 2011 Mary was a founding member of Form A Future, a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to assisting underprivileged individuals in Africa and elsewhere in the developing world to achieve their dream of a better future through education. She also traveled with her husband to most corners of the world and spent many enjoyable hours with daughters and grandchildren.

You have a tribute on this gentleman's memorial on find a grave. He is at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Polk Co Arkansas #48034218. I am doing research on this family name. I was wondering if you know his parents and wife. I know he is in the same cemetery as Ezra(which you posted), Cynthia, and Myrtle. Someone has said that Ezra married Myrtle and then Cynthia. Myrtle is buried next to James according to the plot numbers. Trying to get my information straight. Thanks for your time.
Saw that mine was a duplicate and deleted it, thanks for the heads up
Thank you for the transfer of Mrs. Frame at Olivet. I really appreciate it.
