My maternal grandmother Emma Peters introduced me to our family history about 15 years ago with her type written pages. I, in turn, transferred all our information onto my computer and then into a family history program.

With all the stories lovingly told by my grandparents, family I never knew became important to me. Last year (2006) Grandma encouraged me to expand on my research and to try to locate and contact relatives on my grandfather's side of the family. Through them, my third cousin Kent contacted me. He has been a great source of information and encouragement.

After joining ancestry.com I have learned so much about my family history. I introduced the website to my friend Karin and she then introduced me to findagrave.com.

After a generous member took pictures for Karin, we felt we too should give back. Combined we have taken several pictures for others we don't know. It's rewarding to be able to have that opportunity and great fun for friends like us to work together to give back to others.

I encourage everyone to add their family information to this website as you may be helping relatives find their loved ones as well as finding you, their unknown relative.

Finally, we would like to thank those wonderful people who spent the time to take pictures of our loved ones headstones. We appreciate your effort more than you know.
