Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am 50+ years old, and have lived in Gettysburg, PA most of my life. I enjoy computers, painting, and solving puzzles - one of my favorite puzzles is finding missing pieces of information in my genealogy research.

My direct family lines include: Schriver, Cool, Scott, Bream, Brewer, Adams, Dennis, Orndorff. I'm also maintaining a family tree for my husband's family that includes: Hess, Knox, McIntire, Miller, Rebert, McCleaf, Biesecker and Sanders.

In November 2012, I volunteered to be Registrar for the Gettysburg High School Alumni Association. Starting with the first graduates from the class of 1887, our membership has grown to over 18,000 alumni, including over 3,600 who have passed on. It is my goal to link them all together in a virtual cemetery and to honor each deceased alumni with a flower on Find A Grave. As of January 2015, I have flowered over 1,800 Alumni memorials.

Elizabeth Schriver
I am a decendent of Elizabeth Schriver Hankey 1807-1881. I also have the picture of her and her gravestone but am looking for any information on her parents. I can not find it anywhere. Would appreciate any help you may be able to give me.
Thank you,

James Sanders
Hi Karen,
I have removed the memorial for James Sanders from the Fairfield Union Cemetery. I added the picture of the grave marker to his memorial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Thank you for letting me know about this. There is still a memorial for his wife, Louisa, for Fairfield, but it is not my memorial.
Thanks again,
Susan

Hevner
I will delete the memorials for Walter and Grace Hevner. I am not sure if you noticed that I had them in a cemetery with another name than your memorials have. One might be today's used cemetery name and the other is probably what it was also known as.

Hess
It just dawned on me why I went to Corpus Christi Cemetery years ago. I was trying t make a connection of the Hess family buried here in Chester County at Greenmount Cemetery to the Hess that is buried at Corpus Christi.

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gsr&GSiman=1&GScid=44976&GSfn=&GSln=hess

My recollection is that Calvin Hess buried at Greenmount was married to Christine Byrne Hess. I believe the story was that Calvin was Hispanic and Christine's family was not very supportive. I have an old email address eaglerdr@hotmail.com
of the person who asked me to help. My step-son lived in Chambersburg, and on one of my visits, I spend the time in Corpus Christi.

Take a look at the url above and see if any of that make sense in your Hess line. I believe he also said the surname was sometimes Huss.

Let me know how far off I am...... it's been at least 6 years since that visit.

New Edit Tab
Geez Karen! Thanks a million! I had seen the new edit option when I was asking others to make changes to memorials and I don't know where I imagined those requests went. I don't check my page very often since the other edits come straight to my email and I just take care of them from there. I only open my profile page if someone writes me a message. So thanks for sending me a message. I've found all the edits and now I've got it all figured out.

Thanks again!

Sharon
thank you for transferring Sharon's memorial to me. I ran into her husband today at our polling place which made me think of her.

Thank you again, Barbara

George Beshore
Hi Karen,

I stopped by to get a photo of George & Lucille's headstone in the Gettysburg National Cemetery. I got the photo of Lucille's, but there is none there for George. I'm thinking he must be buried somewhere else. Lucille's is at J-60 in the Annex.

Regards,
Karl
