Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been researching the history of Choctaw and Chickasaw Freedmen and continue to find the history remarkable!

Having freedmen ancestors on my maternal and paternal lines provides me with an unique opportunity to help preserve not only their history but assist other Indian Freedmen descendants rediscover their unique history.

As a "trained" photographer, I'm always impressed with the visual image and how it can have an emotional impact for the researcher and their family. That is why I find this particular effort of various researchers and photographers immensely encouraging and vital as a service for researchers not able to travel to the states and cemeteries where their ancestors and family are interred. I hope to add my humble abilities to this great effort!

RE: Homer and Chloe Spooner Melton
Hi, Terry. I apologize for the confusion over the spelling. Yes, Milton is the spelling that you have on the memorials, but, their surname was Melton with an 'e'. All documents that I saw, Death Certificates, Marriage documents, etc. were spelled Melton. The photo of the headstone that you have on the memorial is also spelled Melton with an 'e', though it is a bit hard to see due to the condition of the stone. There is no need to transfer the memorials to me as I am not a relative. I was researching the Spooner family for a friend of mine and trying to link them together. He descends from the father of Chloe Spooner, Ralph Spooner. Again, I apologize for the confusion over the spelling. Many thanks.

Hi Terry
I was writing to ask if I could t ake over the management of them both. They were my Grandparents. I would like to make a correction to "Dhalma". Then add their siblings, children and parents.

Thanks for your consideration,
Laurel (Roberts)

Homer and Chloe Spooner Melton
Hi, Terry. I sent some edits to you for Homer and Chloe Spooner Melton in Union Cemetery, Brentwood, CA. Dates, family links and names. Melton is the correct spelling of the surname as it appears on the headstone. The dates of death are from the California Death Index and the years look like they may have been transposed on the headstone by the engraver switching 1981 and 1982. Chloe died one year before Homer. I am researching the Spooner family (Athens, Hocking, Meigs counties of Ohio) for a friend and am just trying to link the members. No relation to me. Thanks.

Martin Family Memorials
Hello Terry,
I would like to ask if you would consider transferring the records for my father, mother, and brother to me.
James O. Martin (65298453)
Clara B. Martin
Jerry L. Martin (65298571)
Thank you for creating the records initially. It was my introduction to the Find a Grave resource.
There are things I would like to add to the records to upgrade them.

Thank you for considering.

Fred N. Clardy
Thank you for posting the photo and memorial for Fred N. Clardy #107359439.
He is a cousin of mine. His name was Fred Nathaniel Clardy and was the son of James Lindsey and Bessie Lee Smith Clardy. He was born in Wylie, Collin Co., Tx. 04-25-1924. I have not been able to find a spouse or children for him. I was wondering if you might consider adding the info I have given and link him to his Mother, Bessie Lee Smith Clardy. Her # is 42662427. I have not found the grave of his Dad as of yet.
Thanks for your help.
