Thank you! I want to make sure people are remembered, and this site is an amazing way to make sure that happens. Thanks for the work you do for Find A Grave!

Thank you for looking at this so promptly. I had not realized that the "9" on my keyboard was not working. Her # should be 21659218. Wayne

My computer was hungry and must have ate the list of the section you have done at Fort Logan.
Could you be kind and resend that list?
Thanks and have a wonderful week-end.

I recently found the Find a grave for George A. Pollard the wife of Henry W. Pollard and that you had created the page. She was a sister to my grandfather and I could give you more info if you would like it. Her husband Henry W. Pollard was set up by Mike B. and his was Nove. 2, 2015 while you page is Mary 13, 2014. Tell me if you are related or if I can give you additional information for him as well.
Thanks very much for making the Find a grave page.

Hello Chuck. I just noticed, you posted a photo of my aunt's gravestone to the wrong memorial. THIS is the gravestone of Ada B. (Shelton) Hughes 1885-1968, not Ada (Sharpe) Hughes 1876-1910, and you've linked her incorrectly from John C. Hughes. To fix this, please remove the photo from THIS memorial and place it HERE. Then please remove the relationship link from HERE? Thanks for your help, and your Army service as well. Rich.
OK, you are not using the search within the cemetery. Go to the basic search screen. In last name put 123. In the location spots put the state and county you just worked on. Select entered in the last 24 hours from the date filter. For instance if you do that in California you get 0 in the last 24 hours with no last name. Last 7 days the number is 5 . . . if you do all in the last 24 hours the number is 36 and you can sort by cemetery by clicking on the cemetery word on the upper right corner of the list. You can use the county if you've been entering in one particular cemetery. No way to search all memorials added that I know of . . . but this takes care of many of the glitches where the last name appears in one of the other fields or gets lost completely. Does that help? I know that cemetery was huge and when we have over 10k memorials, it's difficult to search our own. I'm trying to think of other search methods that help in large cems, like within the cem searching by one initial only in the last name field, like "a". In the big cemeteries it gets really hard.

No problem. It happens a lot more than you think and when we have as many memorials as we do, it's hard to see them, especially in a large cemetery. But if you search in the main search field using last name "123" and limit by last 24 hours or 7 days and add a state/county, you can easily see them. I usually just watch California but I've started to expand :)

|Linda Applegate Brown||RE: I am lost (Cave Hill Cemetery)|
The information is online at http://www.cavehillcemetery.com/. Most of the many older burials only have the person's name and burial date, not a birth or death date. From what I understand from someone else who contacted me is that some individuals were moved from other cemeteries, and the burial date is the date they were interred at Cave Hill; their death date may be before that. If a date of death on any of my memorials is incorrect, please send a correction through the "Edit" tab and I will be sure to have it updated. Thank you for all that you are doing. ~Linda

Hi Chuck thanks you for getting the pictures of the headstones and dates for me. Oakwood is a city own cemetery. City of Richmond has more problems than taking care of any of it's cemeteries. There are only six people there to cut all that grass and they also have to do all the funerals. They get behind very quickly. They need over 12 people to do the job but the city is slow to hire. They use inmates to weed around the headstones. There are over 75,000 people buried in Oakwood. If you have the maps of the cemetery I'm the person who made them. If you go inside the office they will give you maps of the cemetery if they aren't to busy.

|RoxyT||RE: LILLIAN COSTELLO and PATRICK JAY COSTELLO|
Hello! It is nice to hear from you :-) I am Roxanna, daughter of Valerie Costello. My Grandpa is John Martin Costello, son of Lillian and Patrick Jay. I fixed the requested information, as it was my error. I do have the original Obit for Patrick Jay if you would like me to email or postal mail you a copy. As for Lillian I only had that one picture which belonged to my late Grandpa John. I would love to keep in contact with you if that is okay. I am sure my mother Valerie would as well. You can email me or find me on Facebook. :-) I hope to hear from you soon.
