Retired law enforcement and military (Marines and Air Force Reserves) currently in a nursing career.|
I collect WWI, WWII and Vietnam era uniforms, medals, etc as my main hobby but also dabble in autographs and of course work on the family tree from time to time. Most of the memorials I have created are of family or very good friends. But, I also build memorials or write bio's for veterans who do not have a memorial or bio already built - but should have. I live in Tulsa, OK.

Thank you for the additional information on Ernest Jamison`s Viet Nam duty. I will be adding it to his bio. & will be happy to credit you. Came upon Ernest`s resting place quite by accident. He is buried very near to my parents. Things are a little busy at work now. Hope to make additions next week. Thank you again !

A while back, you requested a photo of the group burial headstone for Edward Silver and Bruce Lawrence at Arlington National Cemetery. Their stone was put in place last week, and I've posted photos of it on their memorials.
Thank you for your patience!

|alice hurst||Alfred O Lawrence|
Mr. Lawrence, Would you take out two words that I included in the last sentence of the information that I sent to you about how Alfred O Lawrence died. The last sentence talks about where & when he died. If you will take out the 2 words "in the" the sentence will make more sense.
Also Thank You for all the information you have posted on his memorial page about Alfred's service & the medals he earned while in the service. The only medal I ever saw was the one that you have displayed on his memorial page. Do you know what happened to all his other medals he earned. Was he buried with them?
Do you know how I can get a picture of him while in the service. Do you know if the government has pictures of all the soldiers & how I can get one?
If you would like to see a picture of Alfred's mother check Walnut Grave Cemetery, Newport Arkansas on Find a Grave for Minnie Lawrence. I have placed a picture of her on her memorial page. Thank You for all your help. ASlice

|Lydia Wood James||Mary Darwin Aveilhe|
I just wanted to let you know that I have transferred the listing for Mary Ella Darwin Aveilhe to you. I have no relation to her, so I am more than happy to do so.
I have had some interaction with pmfrench, the user that had Mary's husband Charles listing, and we came up with the working theory that Mary was in fact divorced twice. First from Charles and later from her second husband William. It was not uncommon during this time for a woman to claim that she was widowed in order to avoid the stigma of being divorced. My husband's great-great grandmother did this from the 1870's till her death in 1922 (her ex-husband died in 1911, yet she claimed she was a widow both before and after his death).
Perhaps Mary regretted divorcing Charles, and because of that took back his name before her death.
Anyway, I'm glad to be of help! Please let me know if you need help with any of my other listings.
