Bio Photo I love the history, the architecture, the beauty, and mostly the serenity of a cemetery, especially Hollywood Forever where I've been visiting for 30 years. I enjoy fulfilling photo requests at this cemetery the most.

Memorials are gladly transferred - save for my own family members.

Always feel free to post a Public Message for me.

I've been seeing more and more requests for photos without any grave location information. Cemetery offices are much more likely to cheerfully provide family members with grave locations than photo volunteers, especially those of us they see week after week. We don't want to wear out our welcome, so to speak, and appreciate your calling or emailing the cemetery in advance to get the grave location. Please help us help you!

Thank you for taking the photos of Edwin Stroud and Mildred Stroud McGuire. Mildred is a wily one… McGuire would be husband x4!! Thanks again!

RE: Addison Frederick Cress, Sr.
Hi Jim-

Excessive, obsessive, and compulsive! Some of us (who are all three to the max) have been doing genealogy for decades. Helping other people with their research, and finally finding that one person they've spend ages looking for is just the greatest fun.

Try it, you might like it.

Jim-

Thank you so much for photographing the final resting place of Addison Frederick Cress, Sr. and his wife Sarah Cress.

My friend's mother always wondered what happened to her little brother after he left Minnesota; she died without knowing, but my friend wanted to know too. It wasn't until a few years ago that my friend found out that Addison went to L.A. and only a few days ago that she found out that he was buried at Hollywood Forever.

Keep up the good work Jim, it matters.

RE: Richard Dalke
Thanks for trying Jim...I was only going with the limited obituary and that the memorial had originally been placed there by another FindAGrave volunteer. I am in contact with Rickey's brother and sister and will see if I can find out - maybe not right away as their Mom just passed in late September.

Much appreciated,

Mark

RE: Hollywood Forever
Dear Jim,

English is not my first language, so, perhaps, I was not clear. I really appreciate the work of volunteers. I would do same for other people.

Moreover, despite that I have registered my profile 4 years ago, I really don't know much about how this community function. Nevertheless, I appreciate the importance of this project and kindness of this community. Thank you for explaining me how this search works.

Also, I hope that perhaps someone who has access to the US state records (naturalization, death, ect.) and, more importantly, who has experience could help me to find information about my relatives in the USA.

Thank you.
Best wishes,

Levon

RE: Hollywood Forever
Dear Jim,

Thank you for your help. I did my "homework", i.e. I have checked all records here in Find a Grave and used all (I guess) possible spellings. I have found about 100 records, but most of them do not have photos and even DOB. I can send twenty photo requests per day according the rule of the Find A Grave. So, I am in process.

Thanks a lot. Any help is very welcome.

Kind regards,

Levon

RE: Rosa Semel's photo- thanks! more?
Ooops! I got mixed up as to who we're looking forward. You already know where Rosa is. I'm in my 70s now and make 3 or 4 mistakes like this every day.
