Please use email if you have questions regarding my memorials or want to know if I have more information. Please do not use the public message board here for this purpose.
Please be sure to give credit where it's due. You may use my pictures for personal use only, with credit given to me: "Photo Courtesy: Dorothy Findagrave #47601262". My photos should not be used for publication in any way or form, without permission or knowledge from me. It's my pleasure to take photos and share them. I also contribute info when I can and often and I also create memorials along the way. I encourage you to contribute too!
I trim my messages occasionally to keep it under control and keep those that I need to do deal with sometime.
A BIG thank you to all memorial creators, photographers, and info contributors who take the time and effort to make this project a huge success. It's really the collaborative effort that we all work together to make this Findagrave possible.
I've always had passion in genealogy. Virtually all my roots started in New England 400 years ago, heavily concentrated in CT and MA. It has been a fascinating journey discovering and learning so much more about my family, their migrations westward, and local history along the way. I have found that Findagrave has been an extremely valuable tool, a great asset in my research.

3) www.FTDNA.com is the best source for DNA testing and also has the largest and well-established database. The bonus is they keep the testee's sample for up to 25 yrs for future tests. I especially urge those who have roots in Colonial New England have their living MALE relatives who carry the surname Phelps, Riley, Reed, Howe, Mason, Avery, Trowbridge, Eaton, Jackson, Kellogg, Ketchum, Olmsted, Stebbins, Bell, Knott, Douglass, Calkins/Caulkins, Carpenter, and so many more - to test their yDNA (FF, i.e. autosomal test called Family Finder is also another great tool, offered through FTDNA). We need your help to establish and confirm the surname branches.

|Mary Converse||picture of Sara Phelps stone|
I am unable to fill you request. She is actually buried with her husband in Hopkinton-Ft.Jackson, NY cemetery but she is posted on a N.H. cemetery. If you can get that one deleted, I would be happy to add (or you add) Sarah to the New York cemetery.

Photo added. Sorry for taking so long.
|GranPa David Tharp||Herman Siegert and Christiane J Siegert|
In the Delaware Township Cemetery also know as the Forestville Cemetery the single Marker for a couple Herman F. Siegert & Christiane J. Siegert is Labeled as Herman T. Siegert instead of Herman F. Siegert. His Middle name is Friedrich or Frederick according to Michigan Marriage records of their Children and US census Records. He is a Way Back Ancestor of My Wife's thru Her Maternal Grandmother Lena Anna Siegert who was Herman F. Siegert and Christiane Johanna Dost Siegert's daughter. The Stone is Dark and hard to read in Photo & I can see 1929 clearly for Christiane as Yr of death but Herman's the Last digit looks like a 5 or a 6. The only death record I Can Find for Herman is the Find a Grave Record So I wish I knew How to Find a Newspaper Obituary for both Herman and Christiane. I only started heavy duty trying to find Carol's & My Ancestors about a yr or so ago and am Trying to Do it all thru Find A Grave and FamilySearch.org and an Immigration free site that shows me Ellis Island stuff. Any Websites I haven't mentioned that are a big help and Free would be greatly appreciated. I do find tidbits on a side track of ancestry.com called genforum.genealogy.com & actually found some on Herman F. Siegert and Christiane Dost on a Genforumgenealogy Crumb that gave me enuff to Finally find Christiane on the Find A Grave website. www.mocavo.com helps a little about one out of 10 people. Thanks. PS I have Herman as 3-21-1845 thru 2-17-29 & Christiane as 10-7-1847 thru 8-12-1929

I'm sorry, I don't have access to them. The best way to find out where someone is buried is by contacting the cemetery.

|Susan Lundin Smith||Betty Buckley photo request|
You are receiving this message because you have submitted a photo request for Betty Buckley . I wanted to let you know that I will be traveling to that area from Dallas during the first week of June and I would be able to get the requested photos for you. I do need some help from you tho. While I am in the Chicago area, I intend to get as many names off the list for Evergreen Cemetery as possible. The list is growing every day and is now at 263 requests! Evergreen Cemetery is near and dear to my heart as I have several of my own family members there. If you would please call the cemetery office and obtain the burial plot locations and send them to me, I will for sure get them for you when I go there in June. If everyone could get me the locations I could really get a lot of requests done but I can't do it alone! The office number for Evergreen Cemetery is 708-422-9051. They will also be able to tell you whether or not there is a headstone. You can leave me a public message with the information, or you may email me at firstname.lastname@example.org Please be sure to reference the requested names. Thank you!
|Mary Morris||Edward Cachelin|
Hi Dorothy my name is Mary Morris and I'm looking for more information on the Family of Richard Dotson and his Family someof which is Cachelin. I'm looking for any information you can help me with. If you could send me a print out of their Family I would appreciate it. I found some but there are way too many to write by hand. I don't have my own Computer and the ones at the Library are too much trouble to try and print anything out. My address is Mary Morris P. O. Box 1468 Toledo Ohio 43603. I can also be reached by email at email@example.com. I got as far as writing for the 1900 U. S. Census Spearfish , Lawrence South Dakota and a message on Findagrave.com as to Columbia Cochelin and 4 kids and 1 at the bottom that reads J. W. Price Male in Ohio. It also read that they had 6 kids and only 4 survived as of 1900. Do you have or know the names of the other Children?? I would appreciate it very much. Thank You for your time. Mary Morris firstname.lastname@example.org. Richard Dotson is my 4th Great Grandfather and I'm trying to get as much as information about him and his 4 wives as i can to add to my family Tree on Ancestry.com
