Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born and raised in Holdenville, Hughes County, Oklahoma. The branches of my family have been in this area since before statehood. I have been active in researching my family tree since around 1990. I would be glad to take short trips to the surrounding area to take requested photos.

Found that my mother's half sister Leatha NEAL Foley and her husband Charley Foley and their dau.,Patsy Lue Foley are buried in Wetumka Cemetery. You posted pictures of their gravemarkers with the memorials you had made for them. Would you give me permission to use these photos in my family trees? Thank you so much for the memorial you made for Leatha and her family, I had not been able to find who she married or where she died and buried until I found on your memorial for her. Thanks for what you are doing here, your work is much appreciated. Leatha's mother is also buried here in the same cemetery, Hester Bristow. She was the first wife of my grandfather, George W. NEAL of Newton County, Arkansas. They separated and he married my grandmother Caroline BROWN Neal.

RE: Alvin Snyder
Hi Alvin,

Thank you for you offer. If it is not too much trouble, I would LOVE to have a photo of the broom machine! Thank you for thinking of that.

You were correct in that I did not know that Thomas Snyder had ever gone to Oklahoma. Alvin's siblings are all buried where his parents are buried in Henry CO, TN. I do recall that I did not find either of these brothers in the 1910 census, but I just assumed that they were in the area somewhere, working. I did not even realize that Alvin had gone to OK until I discovered his memorial.

I am focusing on the Myricks mainly, but still I have been researching this line and its branches for almost 20 years, you would think that I would have looked into where Alvin went. I tell you this to let you know that the work all of us do for findagrave is very important in helping us to tie families together, and to learn more about our roots, mainly because it is something everyone can have access to. If you run into Kenny Snyder mention to him that we have his line tied back to Henry CO, and his Myrick line back to Lemuel, born in 1785, who served in the War of 1812.

Thank you again for your help, your offer to photograph the machine, and for all that you do for Find A Grave. Patricia

RE: Alvin Snyder
Thank you for this information! I love stories to add to the family history. Alvin is part of my Myrick family, as his mother was a Myrick. I have no idea why he went to Oklahoma... he is the only child of Marion and Martha Jane Snyder who left Henry Co, TN. Thank you again for the information! Patricia
