My wife Terri and I no longer volunteer for Findagrave in Washington County Oklahoma. We will continue working on our family and friends. If we have entered a memorial of one of your loved ones, family or friend, let us know and we will always consider transferring to your care. Many of the volunteers in our area have lost interest in the work due to one individual. It is a shame. All of these volunteers have done a good job. None are perfect but have given of their time and effort to provide information for the many burials in this area. We are loyal supporters of Findagrave but we are all volunteers and the verbal, mental and email abuse we have all taken makes it not worth the effort.|

#40462602. Sorry about how some people treat others when they are all striving for the same goal. I was wondering if you could turn over management of my Great Grandmother on my mothers side. Martha A Gorden born 1843 passed 1885. Thank you.

You are very welcome, thank you for all the great work you do here too. It sure seems like the dearly departed want to keep us on our toes lol. Have a good one! Lee

Just wondering if you know what is inscribed on her stone (btw, she is the daughter of Louisa Berry).

Hi - just wondering where the name Meadows comes from - I believe this is the mother of my step-grandfather's mother (complicated), whose first marriage was to Leroy Blevins. Do you know if there was another marriage to a Meadows? Thanks, Pam

Thanks, Richard. I'm very happy that you enjoyed the book. I wrote it in 1991 or so, and have been pleased that it has helped families learn more about their ancestors, and in some instances helped unite people with family that they didn't know they had.
Please let me know anything you can learn about Elmer Owen, and any photos that his descendants may have of Pearl. No one from Pearl's family had any pictures of her, and those in the newspapers were not worthy of reproduction in the book.
Take care, and thanks again!
