Bio and Links
Bio Photo Retired Senior Marine Corps Officer (Mustang) living in Tampa Fla. Researching family history and trees for surnames Rich, Webb, Marshall, Mathis & Wofford.

I have traced and documented my main family line (Rich) back to 1650 Virginia in Colonial America and many 3rd generation individuals participated in the revolutionary war.

The family arrived in Virginia in the 1650's from England and moved into North Carolina and then South Carolina, Georgia & Florida while others migrated west into Tennessee, Alabama, Texas & Illinois. Many family lines changed the surname "Rich" to Riche, Ritch, Reach and others,

It is an extremely large family & I have "documented" over 10,000 direct ancestors to date. I find a lot of personal history and like to add family members personal history & links.

I found many "family trees" in which the older ancestors were WRONG from simply following others previous errors and researchers focusing on their own branch. My goal became to document the ENTIRE family line in one complete database with supporting documentation for all.

When I join my ancestors in the long sleep my database and FAG memorials will be transfered to the Rich Family Assn. (RFA) for all to use.

If I request a memorial transfer be assured they are a close direct ancestor and it easier to make the updates, corrections & add links rather than burden you with that task.

I understand that you might have some "claim" to a memoral as a decendent BUT I would appreciate the transfer to keep the entire family line "in one easy to find place".

If you find a new "Rich" or variant gravesite, please let me know so I may assist you in research for the individual.

Martha Tinsley Stone obituary
memorial# 77723539
Stone, Martha
One by one our loved ones are passing away. It becomes my sad duty to chronicle the death of another one of the faithful sisters of our community. Sister Martha Stone, the daughter of John and Alice Tinsley, passed peacefully away on April 28, 1901. Sister Stone was in her sixty-seventh years, having been born in 1835. She gave herself to her Lord early, obeying the gospel in her sixteenth year. She was married to John Stone, and after they had partially reared their family, Brother Stone was visited by one of the saddest afflictions that befall humanity--his mind became hopelessly deranged--and Sister Stone was left with the whole burden of caring for the children; and with that courage and fortitude which only a true and devoted Christian can have, she set about meeting her heavy responsibility, and so well did she succeed that all who know her bless her memory. Sister Stone's life was a noble one. She was a kind and affectionate mother, and brought her large family to maturity as a Christian family. When her children were small she taught them about the home of the soul, and she truly brought them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Notwithstanding she was the sole support of her family, her doors and her purse were always open to the poor and needy. To those sorrowing ones who feel so sadly their loss, I would say: Weep not, for her many noble traits remain to bear witness to us that she did not live a life of devotion in vain. "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." As Sister Stone was so faithful over the earthly things, we feel sure that in the home of the soul she will enter into a full measure of that joy which is promised to all who are faithful.

Margaretta Wofford at Oak Hill
Oak Hill has a note that she was buried in section 11. Unfortunately, there are a lot of Woffords in that section whose markers are missing. Hers is one of them.

Johnnie Rich at Oak Hill
There is a Jennie Rich noted to have been buried in 1927 in section 1 at Oak Hill, but they are unable to locate the marker.

RE: Benjamin Bruce Rich
I only found two that I had created and I deleted the one that didn't have a cemetery named as it was an old listing before I had the name and location of where he is buried.

This is the one I kept.
