I have always enjoyed working on Family History and finding about my family. I started using Findagrave 6 years ago as I was working on my own family. Several people helped me find headstones for my family members so I started photographing headstones as a way of paying the debt forward. 2 years ago, I started photographing cemeteries and I enjoyed every minute of it. I beleive that everyone needs to be remembered and someone may be looking for that person to make their connections. I feel glad that I can help. Good luck with your search.

I was figuring things out with the husband of the daughter of Emma, when I came across your Emma Akins. I have her as Emma Green Akin (no "s")(#152789839). I don't know where she is buried but her husband Sandy is buried at Rosemont, so I assume she is, too. Since you don't have a stone picture, nor even dates, I am wondering where you got the name (just curious). So ... if you want, go ahead and transfer my stuff over and I'll delete my page.

RE: Jones Daley
Yes it is. We (my niece and I) actually walked the whole cemetery and did not see the tomb stone. I read that he was buried with his mother, Elizabeth Ezel (Isel). This is definitely the person that I'm looking for. He is my great great great grandfather. My great great father (his son) was a mulatto and he taught him to read and write. My great great grandfather (being born free) taught the slaves to read and write under the house even though it was illegal for them to learn to read. This story inspired me and I became a teacher but continued my quest for Jones Daley. I plan to return to Mt. Pleasant soon in search of the location of his home and possibly a picture of him. Thanks so much for your assistance. I'm certain that I would not have found him without your help. Shauneille
