I have taken these pictures and posted information to this site in order for those who may live in a far away land to catch a glimpse of where past ancestors lived and buried their loved ones. I have tried to transcribe everything I see on the headstones, however if something may be inaccurate or you would like me to add something to the page, I would be more than happy to do it.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to make a photo of the area that John Calvin Tipton was buried. Let me know if you ever need anything in Georgia.

RE: Thomas Collins
Hello Chelsea
Thank you for your, that you tell me you cannot find a marker, I am, unfortunately, not surprised. Thomas Collins was my paternal grandfather who was born in 1894 or 1895 in Chicago. He married my grandmother in San Francisco around 1918 and they had three children, my father, uncle, and an aunt. Even though he had many supportive friends in important positions in Marin County, Thomas lost his career during the depression and his alcoholism basically kept him from re-building his life as an accountant and bookkeeper. This led to my Grandmother divorcing him and the resulting family alienation continued for the rest of his life, until he died in 1968, I believe. To make the story short, both my father and grandfather resented how he treated their mother and they turned their backs on him and I never met him. So, when he died, he pretty much died without family around him. For some reason, my father and Uncle kept that bitterness against him and subsequently he was buried in an unmarked grave apparently near his home in a rooming house in San Rafael at Mt. Olivet. One of these days soon I hope to come back to the Bay Area and find the plot and pay my respects. I forgive all of them, because, what else can we do? Thanks again for your efforts as I sincerely appreciate it very much...I wanted you to know more of the story since you care...

Hello Chelsea, Thanks very much for your censes info on the Cochrane's. I'm curious about the children's location of birth. Wondering if they were born in the States or Ireland? If possible could you send me that info.
Thanks, Doris #48048365

I rotated one of your pictures. Looking at them sideways makes them harder to read.

RE: Stephen Murphy
Yes, you may copy the picture for your own use. Just so you know, I also posted a picture of the whole plot but it didn't show. I think if you click photos you can see it. I took pictures of all the headstones in the plot and will look to see if they have memorials and if not I will create them. Buried in the same plot is Timothy J. Murphy, 1892-1944; Patrick Murphy, 1862-1924; John H. Murphy, abt 1870-1908. Also a Nora Sullivan, 1873-1923. Behind that plot there is also a Dan J. Murphy, 1882-1914 and two John Sullivans. Will be posting those if they don't have memorials. Not sure all of these people are related.

Mt Olivet Cem.
Chelsea, thank you a lot. I am looking forward to you taking pictures. The last burial was my father Joseph Brusatori,he died in 1986. All other Brusatori and Simontachi are before that. If you see any Pinza graves. They are probably burried at Mt. Olivet, all of those would be before my Dad except Theresa Pinza Hancock who died about 7-8 years ago. This is alot to ask and I understand if you have trouble and are not able. Joyce Harris
