I am of Russian descent and have primarily focused my interest on the Russian Molokans. They settled on Potrero Hill in San Francisco and many are buried at the Russian Sectarian Cemetery in Colma, CA; I have also located many at Olivet Memorial Park and Vacaville, CA.|
There is a Russian Molokan message board (Ancestry.com) where I have made posts of news articles, obituaries, historical information and much more.
I am a native of San Francisco, CA.
I've always liked cemeteries and hope I can help other people locate their ancestors graves. I love doing research and would be willing to help anyone with information or pictures.
I don't consider snapshots I take of a grave or a family photo I upload to be copyrighted or owned by me. I understand the importance of wanting a copy of a grave to attach to someone in your family tree. If it's been uploaded by me, I've done it to share with others. I don't mind someone copying the photos and I also have no problem emailing any pictures or documents I have that someone would like.
If I go to a cemetery, I try to take pictures of as many graves as possible and upload pictures to existing memorials or set up memorials if there isn't one, in hopes of it helping a family member locate them. I'm happy to do any updates that you want and don't hesitate to ask for transfers. Just use the Suggest a Correction link on the desired memorial. If they mean something to you, then you are probably better able to give them the best memorial possible.

Would you please provide an explanation for the surname difference before I link Timothy Efim Fadaveto his father, Efim Minanich Fadeeff?
In viewing other memorials the last name ranges in spellings:
Fadeff, Fadaiff, and now Fadeeff

Could you send your email address? I am a newbie on Ancestry, and I have trouble trying to navigate the website. I would like to answer your email about maintaining my grandparent's grave.
I am off to work but will get back with you this evening or tomorrow. Mary was a real gadabout. She seemed to have numerous names. Do you know the last marriage she had. My records state Mary List. I am wrong about the name I put on there. I really need to get into all of the old records and rethink this.
Do you know who Max Lake is and how he is related to Mary. His last name in immigration I believe is Lakeoff or thereabouts. He paid for the plot that William is in and he and his wife are also in the same plot along with Mary Dearly List who I believed to be Williams Mother. Interesting
|Alice Morton||Hi Nancy|
It must not have been one of my better days when I did William Drazdoff's memorial.
I will change it for further study. Sorry about that and thank you for bringing that to my attention.
|Denise Helton- Parsons||Madeleine Pee Pretou Fick|
I would like to thank you for posting my Grandparents headstones in Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma.
I just started on Ancestry in April, and didn't know what I was doing. IF I had gone to - find a grave at the very beginning of my searches, it would have made things a great deal easier. I wouldn't have spent countless hours and days trying to find information.
The most important thing you did - for me - was to include the clipping from my Grandmother's obituary from the newspaper. It cleared up a lot of confusion for me - concerning one of my great aunts. My mother was 9 when her father died. She seldom, if ever, talked about her family.
I know the headstone was confusing to you, and I would like to explain it. My Grandmother was born Madeleine Pee, in France. She married my Grandfather, Armand Pretou, also born in France. They met, and married in San Francisco.. He died in 1928. and she remarried, a man named William Fick. He evidently was not a very nice man. She married him about 1935, and divorced him about 1941. Unfortunately, at that time in history, I guess she was "stuck," with the Fick name.
She loved my Grandfather a great deal, and wished to be buried with him. As they say, that is the story.
Thank you so much for doing such wonderful work. I appreciate it SO much.
Thank you for looking.
Anna Williams may originally be Anna Wasilenko.
I am still building their tree so I can properly link the Jericoff, Johnson, Martens, etc. records in Mountain View Cemetery (Oakland).
|Kurt Hess||Helen Gilfilen|
I am trying to untangle some records for the Michael and Lillian Jericoff family in Oakland. Can you tell me if Helen Gilfilen fits into this family somehow?
I am working from a transcription file which may be scrambled a bit.
Thank You in advance and Happy New Year!

Nancy, the photo you uploaded of Maria Valina Merchitto Garofalo is incorrect. That is a photo of my grand mother Stephanie Garofalo.
Happy Holidays to you, wanted to let you know that you have Henry Lashin, he was Daniel's Grandfather. Henry was not his real fist name, it was a nick name, his real first name was Andre. Daniel always said that he was suck a great Grandfather to him, and they were very close...
