Bio and Links
Bio Photo Feel free to use any of my photos in any way that you wish, especially the older ones. My only purpose in posting them is to share them with those who want them and to help preserve them for posterity, just as many of these were gifts which others (long dead, for the most) once shared so generously with me. History is not for hoarding or profit but for preserving and passing on.

All of my memorials are works in progress, so I'm continually tinkering with them, researching, editing or expanding them. Additions, comments, corrections, criticisms and suggestions are always welcome and considered.

Michael Kelly Selvige/Selvage
Hey Ray. I am a distant cousin of your's via the Walls/Wright branches and am currently working on the family of Mary Ann Celeste Selvage. I have read so many confusing things about her father, Michael Kelly Selvige/Selvage. Do you know if he is the same Michael K Selvage that died in Dallas, Texas? Thank you also for all the hard work you do of putting the pieces of our families together.

Ray,

You're very welcome. I am glad i could have been of help.

I did include a photo for everybody listed as buried in that mausoleum. If you cannot read the names, let me know and I will send them to you.

Amos Dowdy memorial #103779815
In the Bio you make mention of a Dowdy family bible in the possession of Julia Kellett. I have tried to locate her or the bible she has on the web and have had no success. Could you let me know how I might obtain a copy? Also, do you have source documentation of the 1820 marriage date to Effie Carlton? Thank You!

Jonh Pitts memorial 148158180
Thank you for such a detailed bio on my 5 time great uncle. I would love to learn more about this family. This family married into my Canady family of Missouri who's surname has change at least 15 times. Missouri digital heritage is a great site especially for death certificates from 1910 to 1964 if you know the correct spelling. Many thanks for all you have done! May you be blessed. Lea Ann Nall Williams.

I will have to take some time to study out your request. This may take awhile :) What you have written seems good. Maybe I can add something to mine line as well. I appreciate the work you have done on the Isbell tree!

Crestwood Cemetery
If you will call the Crestwood Cemetery office (256-492-5430)and get the grave location, I will fulfill the photo request. The cemetery office charges non-relatives $20 for a location or I would ask them myself. You can email me at johncawbrey@gmail.com when you get the Section number and lot number.

RE: Transfers
Good Morning Ray

Thank you for getting back to me, it was so nice of you. Its always nice to meet new distant relatives no matter how good that meeting may be. One would only hope that it was a good one.

Though I have been on Find A Grave a long time I have not been active in it until about 10 days ago. THAT is when the 6 memorials were transferred to me. I am well aware they need to be attended to and updated. It is of NO REFLECTION on ME but the previous handler !!! Those around the memorials I have also need to be added to and updated. I have decided that those I will try to tackle first. I will offer the information I have to be added to those memorials. I have all the time in the world to fix my own. Since you can't see anything being done with the 6 I just received it does not mean I am doing nothing. I guess its the old "mother instinct" Take care of everyone else"- THEN take care of yourself.

You win RAY... To hell with the memorials of those related above and below the ones I have. I will care for my own. If I look for one and can't find it, I will create it.

Thank you Ray, Have a great day.
