I have been fascinated by cemeteries since I was a kid. I grew up near the Old Baptist Cemetery in Hannibal - the one most people agree that Mark Twain used as a model for Tom Sawyer. That led me to other places. Over the years, I've explored a lot of cemeteries.|
Then, a few years ago, my mother got interested in geneology in a big way. She loved to research, and amassed a database of well-over 100,000 names. I'm now sorting through that database, and I've decided to help others in the same way.
So here I am, splitting my time between my own research, and documenting cemeteries in the area for other peoples' research. Let me know where you're looking, and I'll do my best to help. Feel free to use my images for your own geneology work - that includes using the images for Ancestry or Family Tree Maker. Please remember to give proper credit if you do any publishing. I prefer to be listed as Michael Mann, Quincy, IL

Thank you, so much, for the photo of Guy and Bertha's headstone, and the picture of the unmarked plot for Edythe. It always makes me sad when there is no stone to photograph, and am grateful for the picture of the plot. Thank you for researching this and determining that no stone was there. I appreciate your time and effort on this! Jim

Hi! Thank you for your work!!! I'm working on linking family members of my grandma together. Her sister was Bessie (Sparrow) Leasman who married Daniel Leasman and both Bessie and Daniel are buried at Sunset Cemetery in Quincy. Can you change the name of their spelling of last name to Leasman instead of Leaseman? I have a pending line for Bessie to her father, James E Sparrow #133999622 (New Providence in Ursa) and will go back in and link her to her mother, Clara Alice Russell #130550448 (New Providence in Ursa) once the pending entry to James is confirmed.
Thanks again! Patricia (Gooding) Thomas

Thanks for looking at Susanna's headstone. I appreciate your doing it so quickly. I see where I made the mistake, easy to do on some of the old headstones.
Have a great day!

I would like to thank you very much for the photo of Orville. Their is a shodow on his wife's side of headstone and am unable to read it. Do you know what it is and can you take a photo of it as well? Thank you ever so much
