Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been fascinated by cemeteries since I was a kid. I grew up near the Old Baptist Cemetery in Hannibal - the one most people agree that Mark Twain used as a model for Tom Sawyer. That led me to other places. Over the years, I've explored a lot of cemeteries.

Then, a few years ago, my mother got interested in geneology in a big way. She loved to research, and amassed a database of well-over 100,000 names. I'm now sorting through that database, and I've decided to help others in the same way.

So here I am, splitting my time between my own research, and documenting cemeteries in the area for other peoples' research. Let me know where you're looking, and I'll do my best to help. Feel free to use my images for your own geneology work - that includes using the images for Ancestry or Family Tree Maker. Please remember to give proper credit if you do any publishing. I prefer to be listed as Michael Mann, Quincy, IL

My mistake
I just left you a message about the picture to copy from one memorial to another. Please disregard that note, I found he did have a memorial so I deleted mine.
Sorry for the mix up.

Picture on FAG#7860037
Hello~ I was doing some research looking at the last name Cook. Found an Ina P Cook # 786007, the picture of the grave on the memorial is yours.
She is buried with her husband there but he didn't have a Find A Grave memorial, he wasn't even listed on his wife's notes, so I made him one. Would you be so kind as to copy and paste that picture from Ina's memorial to Cecil's please. His Find A Grave# 169238171.
I didn't want to because I didn't take the picture.

Thanks~
Sheila

Your records for him in Woodland Cemetery, Quincy, IL only have his death year. If you can add info, here is some. He was born 13 May 1812 in Germany and died 16 May 1895. Family info is that he was a circuit rider minister who started all the German Methodist churches west of the Mississippi. His wife was Louisa Kraus b. Jan 1822, died 26 Aug. 1922. Their daughter Elisabeth (Elizabeth) was born March 1852,and died 29 May 1907.

Thank-you so much for the pictures of the gravestones of William Patterson, wife Ann and daughter Ellen. Did you find them across from the caretaker cottage along the fence line? As you can tell,I looked ! Can I get those pictures to Ancestry? Sandy Franklin
