Bio Photo I am a Mother of five, a third order Franciscan Sister, and a retired science teacher living in Ludington, Mason County, Michigan.

I transcribe and clip old newspaper death notices from the Ludington Daily News archives and Photograph the graves at local cemeteries. I am creating a digital file of these for the local library and am adding them on this site for your personal - family use, feel free to copy my work for that purpose.
Hope it helps.

the flat stone
I will check and see if I have a copy of that stone still, but really, there is not much to look at now. Just a flat stone which might have been a gravetone.

Hammond Family
The only ones listed in my book are Frank, Amelia and Bertha.

(FYI) Unmarked graves are not always listed. Sometimes burials for babies were made by family members and not recorded in cemetery records. If you could locate death certs that would probably be the only documentation you could find. That happened to me.

Re: transfers - within four generations - siblings, parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. Does not include aunts, uncles or cousins.

I found Amelia listed in an old cemetery book.

When transfers are requested, I follow the (F A G) guidelines.

Thank you for the article on Magnus Thompson, he is my 2nd great grandfather. The Thompsons and Orrs in Lakeview are my father's direct lineage, the Caswells, Baileys, Hatfields, and Baylors are some of the others. Thanks again. Kim Orr, Farr West Utah.

Nope not related :) Someone was looking for the person who dropped the papers with their name in Ludington I couldnt find his wife memorial so I googled her and found her husbands obituary which of course led me to the right Find A Grave memorial so while I was there I decided to send the Obit :) I think Nancy already contacted you about the papers to see if they were yours or if they were Bettys..
