|I am a professional genealogist and have been doing genealogy research for over 31 years. The family lines I have extensively researched have been Seth Martin, Jabez Ham, Johann Jacob Frisch, Christian Klemm, Johan Lorenz Schenk, Wiles, Barnett, Bushnell, James Dempster, Judy Upham, and many others. I have finalized my research by completing books on 7 of the above family members. As you know research is really never finished. I enjoy helping others to trace their past. Instead of just entering names and dates like many do, I try to enter information about that person and link family members together. This helps when someone is trying to locate an ancestor. If I can't locate the family members, then I do enter just the dates. I also believe in keeping family with family so if there is someone that you want transferred who is a family member, just ask and I will be glad to do so.|
Feel free to share/copy any of my info or pictures. I believe it belongs to all descendants and I am just fortunate to be the one to locate it for descendants.

Thank you for your quick reply. I appreciate your research and that you added the information. I knew the story but not the facts. Although he is my Great Grandfather, you do not need to transfer to me. I no longer live in the area and it is good to know someone is checking. However,I have updated his familial information as I have finally found his family in Sweden. I know one of his siblings came to Fulton County: August Swanson. He married Rachel Pringel. They are buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton. Again thank you for your research.

Thank you for posting the obituary for my Great Grandfather John Swanson (born Sven Johan Jonasson). I have a copy of the inquest but never found an obituary. Would you mind sending me the source? The information given is what I had been told but have never found in writing previously.
Also I apologize for adding more information without contacting you first but I did originate the post
For those who read this and do not know early Swedish naming practices until sometime in the early 1880's, a male used his father's first plus son for his last name and a daughter used the first name + dotter (Swedish spelling of daughter. In the early to mid 1880's families started keeping the last name their father used and it became law.
Thanks again Ruth

Memorial # 134278524 - I was wondering if you could help me. The gravestone says wife of Frank Alter. All the records in Ancestry indicate she married Frank Porter (marriage records and census'). Can you shed any light on this? All other information appears to be the same (parents, etc). Thanks for your help. Carol
|L. Brown-Atwell||Thomas Vandecar|
Please note that Thomas Herman Vandecar, memorial 134843773 is the son of my 4th great aunt Alvira Brown Vanderkarr. His father's name is Hermanus Vanderkarr. Over the years the spelling of the last name has taken on different spellings. I have documentation written by a member of the Brown family that documents Alvira's marriage to Hermanus and their children's names.

You said in reply to my SAC about your duplicated memorial:
"Yes, I see the duplicates as the first one was put in with initials. However, the contributor has passed away and can't make changes of the correct name, dates or the obituary so the duplicates will remain as I have entered more information for their descendants to locate."
My reply to your April 28th posting:
My request to merge your information on the duplicated memorial to the original memorial was done today. You were given credit for the information. You reply to the SAC was enclosed in the request.
There is only one memorial for a grave site.
You can do edits to names, dates, relationship links, marker transcriptions, and other stuff. If the member doesn't respond in 21 days to your request, the edit is automatically done for you. If you want something added to the bio section The edit tab is on the upper right corner of the memorial.....and the memorial manage doesn't reply, send it to "EDIT" at findagrave.com
There is no reason for making a duplicated memorial. All duplicated memorials are merged into the originals....eventually.

Hi, I sent an email to you on Sunday as you requested, just checking to verify you received it. If for any reason you did not, please let me know and I will resend again.

Thank you for your response. Do you know if there is any obituary that might be available for her that I could locate? I have Newspapers.com but nothing in there and I saw she was too early for the online death records. I am trying to verify her parents.

I have just viewed your entry of my Uncle Fred Mc Junkin's memorial. You stated that you tried to get all of Della Nett McJunkin's children attached to Fred. In order to make this message short, I will invite you to view my NETT - PERKINS FAMILY TREE. Go to my tree and call up Fred or Della Mae Nett. View Della's marriages and list of children. Two children are Brasher, six are McJunkin. All these children are listed with correct parents in the NETT - PERKINS FAMILY TREE in Della's list of children. Sincerely, Ethel Shafer
