Your tombstone stands among the rest;|
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.
If anyone has an addition or correction to anything I have posted please contact me and I will quickly correct it. I am more than happy to turn over ownership to anyone who requests it. AND PLEASE IF YOU SEE THAT I HAVE ENTERED A NAME TWICE, PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT IT. It is easy to make a duplicate without realizing it.
Also -- another FindAGrave contributor wrote this... I think it says it all:
Please note: This is NOT a numbers game, Nor a "who has who" game here. Some of us are serious about getting names & photos of headstones that are not going to be around and making memorial pages. That is what this is about, making/recording that person lived and died. Like many, I spend long, long hours either in a cemetery, or adding memorial pages to Findagrave.com. I would love to see some of the headstones of family members that were in the 1700 & 1800 of my family, but that isn't going to happen as many are gone.
It doesn't matter who has the memorial page, the important thing is that someone cared enough to make a memorial page to honor that person and that is what findagrave.com is all about. Honoring the deceased, NOT who has what memorial or how many that they have. Thanks!

You are very welcome!
Hello, you have the site for Robert L Millard (64710873) and I was wondering if you could add his father Robert Millard (46430579) and his mother Alwilda (46430644) to his page. Thanks!

My father died 40 years ago when I was 13 and I've never been to his grave site and didn't know where it was located other than it was in the Plymouth/Canton area. So thank you so much for the work you do!
Thank you very much for the transfer of Charles and Martha Kalmbach from Oak Grove Cemetery.
I put in an edit suggestion for Eodema Riggs, buried in Maple Grove cemetery Sylvan township Michigan. Her stone reads "Lodema". I know that occasionally stones can be misspelled, but also that inscription lists of cemeteries are also prone to error. I posted an image of the stone on the memorial page.
