I have been doing my genealogy since Summer 2012 and have already amassed a large collection of information, thanks to the internet, particularly FindAGrave and Ancestry.

My particular interest here at FindAGrave is fulfilling photo requests for Loudon Park Cemetery, especially the hard ones without plot information. I am also working on uploading photos for all "famous" memorials at Loudon Park that need them. My website (link below) is a site I created to consolidate various sources of information on Loudon Park.

Please note my new e-mail address (which I am not publishing on my contributor page in order to avoid spam for a while): joecandeux at that behemoth e-mail provider owned by Google.

RE: Alexander & Ann Hand
Joe -

My thoughts were that Alexander Hand was a farmhand for Halbert Hoffman who is buried there at Loudon.

Absolutely correct, no marker and/or headstone was ever purchased! Thank you so much for helping me out!! Debra

Will let you know when photo is taken. I included in my request that they look for a nearby headstone for Lydia. The cemetery office was very helpful - they might be able to tell you if Lydia is buried there (they need a death date).

I requested a photo of his headstone, but was told I first needed the location, since Oak Woods is a very large cemetery. I've submitted the location via the edit feature & again submitted my photo request.

Alexander & Ann Hand
Hi Joe:

I am looking for an Alexander & Ann Hand that could be buried at Loudon Park Cemetery. Alexander was a farm hand for Halbert Hoffman who is buried at Loudon Park.

Alexander was a Medal of Honor.

RE: Michael Solomon Plot
Thank you for that info. I just spoke to the cemetery yesterday and of course never thought to ask that, but I did not know that there was nothing actually visible until you posted the picture. So thank you for that and for going there. I will call them back and see what that story is.

RE: Michael Solomon Plot
Thank you very much for answering. Odd how the cemetery and/or someone didn't at least put markers there! They certainly gave me the info on the plots purchased by Pauline (my grandmother) and that they were both there. I would hope at the least they would mark them. Very interesting. Thank you very much. Debra

Michael Solomon Plot
I saw the picture you posted on my grandfather's Memorial and just wanted to ask you if this was the "west" half of that lot. My grandmother and grandfather were buried and purchased the "east" half lot according to the cemetery. I did not see the Solomon name, just the other three in front. So would this be considered the "west" half? If so, does this picture show any part of where the "east" plot would be? Thank you. Debra
