Bio and Links
Bio Photo *I ask that you do not copy any of my photos WITHOUT MY CONSENT or WITHOUT GIVING ME PROPER CREDIT. Too many times my photos have been "lifted" from either at F.A.G. or at Ancestry.com where they have been reposted to a foreign website and in order to view them, one must pay a fee. Additionally, I have come across many of my photos on other genealogy websites with no mention of a credit.

While I will let most people copy a photo if it is to be used for genealogy purposes, I strictly prohibit people using any of my photos for monetary gain. All I ask is that you give me credit for any photos you would like to copy.

Regarding transfers of memorials - I will be happy to transfer a memorial if the person is not related to me or an ancestor of mine. Transfers should be within the F.A.G. guidelines, i.e., NO BULK SURNAME REQUESTS and only for direct relatives within four generations (siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren).

As per F.A.G. guidelines, transfers for non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) are not required to be transferred.

With that being said, I have to say that I inherited my interest in "root-digging" from my Dad, who has always been fascinated with history and genealogy.

I like the connection it gives me to the past and it lets me leave something behind for future generations.

While I strive to be as accurate as possible, sometimes human error can occur. If there are any corrections to be made, don't hesitate to let me know.

Thank you.

Hi Wendy,
thanks so much, that is exactly what I need. Do you mind if I copy it to use on his ancestry.com profile? with credit to you. I'll let you know what I find out from the ground radar map. Most likely he just never got a stone.
thanks
Jim

Hi Wendy,
Judy Gettleman and I have been working on Henry. Do you know how you found him to be at the Union Cemetery? We know his wife, daughter and parents are there, but can't find a stone for him in the cemetery or a record in the card file at the historical society. I've been meaning to get back there to review the Immanuel Lutheran record book. The cemetery recently did ground penetrating radar so I intend to review the map they created as well. Maybe he doesn't have a marker? Any help you might give us would be appreciated. Been looking for his obit.
thanks

I deleted my memorial and sent the information to you. Do you still have a copy of the family information?
Thanks, Jim

somebody is ticked
She tried to tell me she didn't take any of our photos and upload them elsewhere...right. I got a very nasty e-mail from her.

e-mail msg received
I had a nice response from that site owner. She is going to contact the gal who did this...kind of wish I had not sent her an e-mail already but I didn't say anything nasty so should be OK.
Did you have time to look around that Illinois site? I found it by accident...lol I think she is doing a nice job with it.

RE: stealing pics
Wendy, I sent her an e-mail. I don't think she understands what she has done is illegal. I'm in the "b" section on both sites but my guess is she didn't take many photos of her own.
