I just love walking through cemeteries photographing headstones as there are usually so many interesting ones. It's amazing how much information one can get from these headstones, especially the older ones. I believe in immortalizing what we can of these stones for the future and let others know that at one point in time, these people lived. |
Please remember to ALWAYS thank the Photo Volunteer for their time in locating your family's grave and taking the photo for you. Many people are becoming very rude in not thanking those who go out of their way to help them and many requests go unfulfilled because of it. Remember we are in this together to help each other and a simple Thank You goes a long way.
Feel free to use the photos of your loved ones resting place for your genealogy research and your personal family tree.
PLEASE, PLEASE SEND ALL CORRECTIONS, ADDITIONS, LINKS, ETC FROM THE EDIT BUTTON (THAT IS WHY IT IS THERE) ON THE MEMORIAL. IT WILL SAVE SO MUCH TIME IN SEARCHING FOR THE CORRECT MEMORIAL AS THE NUMBERS THAT ARE TYPED IN ON EMAILS AND IN THE MESSAGE BOARD ARE NOT ALWAYS GOING TO THE CORRECT MEMORIALS.
Note about the Edit selections: Since this has now made it easier for people to send in changes on dates, names, death and birth locations and links to family, I take it as being correct. If they are not correct, then please send another edit and then email me and let me know where your source is from so I can note this.

Thank you very much for posting the information although the request had been removed. This family is very hard to locate.
Again, thank you.

Thank you for taking a photo of my Aunt Bessie (Zacek) Uridel's tombstone in the Bohemian National Cemetery. Yes, I would appreciate it if you would transfer the entry to me. Thank you again.

Thank you for the picture of Ella Deyman's gravestone. She was my grandmother and I've been searching for her grave.

Yes. My grandmother, Edna DePatis, was his niece, daughter of William DePatis of St. Anne, Kankakee county, area. I have yet to find her other uncle in Chicago, Joseph DePatis, with a death date of 1926-03-30, because I couldn't find an obit., as I had for Arthur.
Thanks much, Pat

Thank you for the fine photos of Arthur DePatis and family gravestones, I really appreciate it. That is very helpful to me. And thanks for finding him since I only knew that he was in the cemetery.

Thanks for the memorial transfer! I have been sending edits to various Find A Grave members regarding my family. This transfer makes it easier for me to add family information when I learn more & more about my geneology! Thanks so much!
Thank you for taking the time to photograph and post the grave monument for the Sirovy family plot. It is much appreciated.
