I just love walking through cemeteries photographing headstones as there are usually so many interesting ones. It's amazing how much information one can get from these headstones, especially the older ones. I believe in immortalizing what we can of these stones for the future and let others know that at one point in time, these people lived. |
Remember...."The findagrave goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal is to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred. Never deliberately create a duplicate memorial. ~~Findagrave Administrators"
Please remember to ALWAYS thank the Photo Volunteer for their time in locating your family's grave and taking the photo for you. Many people are becoming very rude in not thanking those who go out of their way to help them and many requests go unfulfilled because of it. Remember we are in this together to help each other and a simple Thank You goes a long way.
Feel free to use the photos of your loved ones resting place for your genealogy research and your personal family tree.
PLEASE, PLEASE SEND ALL CORRECTIONS, ADDITIONS, LINKS, ETC FROM THE EDIT BUTTON (THAT IS WHY IT IS THERE) ON THE MEMORIAL. IT WILL SAVE SO MUCH TIME IN SEARCHING FOR THE CORRECT MEMORIAL AS THE NUMBERS THAT ARE TYPED IN ON EMAILS AND IN THE MESSAGE BOARD ARE NOT ALWAYS GOING TO THE CORRECT MEMORIALS.
PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR TRANSFERS ON THIS PAGE AS THEY WILL NOT BE ANSWERED. USE THE EDIT TAB FOR THE MEMORIAL IN QUESTION AND CLICK ON OTHER SUGGESTION. THANK YOU.
Note about the Edit selections: Since this has now made it easier for people to send in changes on dates, names, death and birth locations and links to family, I take it as being correct. If they are not correct, then please send another edit and then email me and let me know where your source is from so I can note this.

Thanks for adding this photo. Michael was a brother of my great grandfather, John M. Nowicki. Would love to know what happened to his widow Frances.
Would you transfer Raymond Perrine (1920-2007)
and is son Larry Perrine (1949-1957) they

You explained the 'bricks' in an earlier message...it just didn't click in my mind! Thanks again!

Thank you for Susan's grave photos! I don't think I quite understand it though. Is it a brick in a wall or is it a columbarium? I appreciate you getting out in the cold and snow to get it for me!

Thanks for all your help. I appreciate it!

Your safety comes first! I completely understand the perils of weather and I appreciate your willingness to fulfill my photo request. Thank you!

Thank you very much for taking and posting Elizabeth's headstone photo (in January no less...brrr). I've taken a few of these myself so I definitely know the time commitment it takes to do this awesome service. The Find A Grave site continues to amaze me with all of the kind folks I've come across. It's been so wonderful to see headstones that otherwise would never have been possible. Your efforts are appreciated!! (Thanks, too, for the addition of her middle initial.)
