It doesn't really matter what one puts in the bio section because 99% of the time, no one bothers to read it anyhow!! :D
But for the record,
I am pretty liberal with my transfers,
The majority of my memorials are made with 2nd hand information so please feel free to send me corrections (as long as they make sense that is),
Cite the source and I will add obituaries (but I will edit out living relatives if it is a recent death),
Any and all typos are the mistake of my keyboard...not the user!! :D
I don't mind checking to see if there is more information on said person at the local library (depends on where the funeral took place)...within reason...I have my own family to chase down (living and otherwise!).
I WILL NOT LINK TO BURIAL UNKNOWNS PER THE FaG RULES!
Bob Giesler 47476221 Tori, I noticed you have added a photo of Bob's footstone and since we have already posted a picture that is quite readable I would very much appreciate it if you would remove the one you added.
112024902 RE: Samual R Dubson - Tori - would you happen to know the Dubson family? I have a photo album in my possession which appears to be mostly Sam's military photos. I am attempting to reach a family member that I can forward this to. (Sam was my step-father.) Thanks for any help you can provide. I did not know Sam's family other than he has a sister.
William J. Ickes CW Veteran William J. Ickes #86032326 Villa Grove Cemetery Douglas County. William is on the roster of Company M, 11th Illinois Cavalry. He enlisted Feb. 27, 1865 and was mustered out on Sept. 30, 1865. The civil war record shows he lived in Fon Du Lac at the time of enlistment. He served in the same company as my g-grandfather Henry Hamilton Wallace.
RE: duplicate My son, who does findagrave extensively thought that you may have taken your grave pictures, but not designated "Grave". He has seen that happen before. That may be why when someone brings up a name, it comes up that the picture is missing. It's no big deal. You have almost the entire cemetery photographed and posted which is a major accomplishment!
duplicate I was driving back to Paris from Champaign today and stopped at the Villa Grove Cemetery and took pictures for graves that my smart phone reported had no pictures. So, after I get home, I see that I had added many duplicates, because you had already put the pictures of the graves on yourself. I have never had this happen before. I go to cemeteries all over the place and take pix and add them to Findagrave and have never had a problem. So, I apologize...there are now 2 pictures of some of the graves. If I can go back and delete the ones that I did, I will, but I may not find many of them, as I delete the pictures off of my phone after I add them to Findagrave. Again, I apologize...darn phone!
