I am a 37 year old former teacher turned stay at home mom. 10 years ago I became very interested in my family heritage and history. After finding out it was not possible to research anything with small children I put my work aside for a few years. Now that they are self sufficient, I find I have more time to work on it. I am currently working on my mother's side to include the surnames: Dorethy, Schaufele or Sheifley, Walters, Bloomfield, Littlejohn, Myers, Horn, Stimeling, Keller, Ruddell, McCaughey, and Kneece (Mostly in the State of Illinois-McDonough, Fulton, Peoria, and Hancock Counties). My father's side includes: Steel, Cunningham, Dowie, Barrie, Law, King, Wren, Harper, Dunton, Alston, and Munro (Mostly in the State of Illinois-Peoria, Fulton, Henderson, and Knox Counties and in Scotland). My husband's family includes: Henderson, Bledsaw, Bocock, Petrowsky, Trublood, and Gunter. As I photograph my family's headstones I will photograph other headstones in the cemeteries that we visit, as time allows. If I have taken or created a memorial for your family member and you would like it transferred please let me know. I know how much I cherish seeing my family's headstones and hope that I can help others that live to far away see theirs.

 | Fike Cemetery I can't believe all the stones in Fike Cemetery have been piled up in a pile. Grave stones of any kind cost a lot of money and were placed in the cemetery to honor their dead mother, father, sister, etc. If they were fallen over, why couldn't they have propped them up again and put some cement around them or made a base to place them on. Shame, Shame!

 | Photo on John Chuchill Hi, Would you please add the photo you took of #29504305 for John Wesley Churchill to his wife, Alice I. Churchill, #29504321, as well? I want you to get credit for your lovely photo on her memorial too.
I'm trying to get Alice transferred to me as I have more info for her memorial as well as correcting it.
Thank you for all your work on Find-a-Grave! Happy Holidays! SylviaAdded by SG on Nov 27, 2012 6:42 AM | | | Floral~Lady
