Genealogy is my passion so when I add a memorial I try to find out vital info for that person.|
My motto- "If you donít know your history, then you donít know anything. You are a leaf that doesnít know it is part of a tree."~ Michael Crichton
Primary family surnames researching: Rice, Trainor, Marin, Berube, Heavner, Mick, Pritt
I have added memorials from some photographs I have taken, obituaries, death records/certificates found in public records and some cemetery listings and veterans records.
Please DO ask for transfers.
I believe memorials belong to those who loved or know more about them than I. Their memorial will be better honored with your personal knowledge of them.
Will only refuse those I am related to.
Welcome corrections, additions and links to family members (not burial unknowns). Please use the edit tab.
My photos of GRAVES ONLY may be copied. I took them for you and anyone interested. Why take them and post them here if not sharing? Personal photos I wish to be contacted for permission to copy so I know whose hands they are in.
Photo quality varies with light and weather. If you captured a better photo than mine and wish to post it, just let me know so I can delete mine.
Obituaries are copyrighted, so I won't post them but use info from them. I will ignore obituaries sent to me to post.
Unmarked graves sadden my heart.
An Irish poem that reminds us marking our loved ones final resting places is a special gift.
ONE FINAL GIFT.
Scatter me not to the restless winds
Nor toss my ashes to the sea.
Remember now those years gone by
When loving gifts I gave to thee.
Remember now the happy times
The family ties are shared.
Don't leave my resting place unmarked
As though you never cared.
Deny me not one final gift
For all who came to see.
A simple lasting proof that says
I loved and you loved me.
In the event that I become inactive at findagrave for some reason, I would like all memorials I created at Shirley Village Cemetery and Shirley Center Cemetery,Shirley, MA. to be transfered to findagrave member #48749977. She photographed both these cemeteries fully and is the reason these memorials exist at findagrave.

I added a photo for Franklin Cheney, but noticed the spelling is Cheny. Looks like they ran out of room. What do you think? Jo

Thank you for the additional information.
|Gary Walls||RE: Annie Dolan Flanagan|
I just added a picture to your memorial for Annie Dolan Flanagan (Memorial #143911703). Your note on the memorial indicates that she is not listed in the St. Patrick's Cemetery records. I found that she is listed, but, like many of St. Patrick's entries, the last name is misspelled. It's spelled Flannagan. There are also entries for John and Susan Flannagan, buried in the same location, which I'm sure should also be Flanagan. I have added memorials for John J. and Susan Flanagan. If you have any more information on either, let me know and I will add it.
|JAW||RE: Joel S. Peck|
Thanks for getting back to me. I would like management if ok as I continue to research. I believe his 1st wife was Jershua as I have found a marriage record for them and I know they had 3 children together. Joel Jackson, John Montraville, and Caroline Lamson Peck (1825-1849). I have the birth records for them, so I know the parents are right, I cannot find graves or death date for Joel S., Jershua, or John M. I do know Caroline died in 1849. I know Joel was living with Joel J. prior to his death.

|JAW||Joel S. Peck|
I am looking for information on Joel S. Peck whom you created a memorial for # 136855295. He died in 1880. I believe he is the father of my 2nd great-grandfather Joel J. Peck who is buried in Hope Cemetery. I asked at the Hope Cemetery office about Joel S. and was told there was no record of him being buried there. You also had info listed about his wives Almira and Mary. I think he may of been married 3 times with his first wife being Jerusha Howe. Any information you could provide me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your quick detailed answer. Your research is food for thought. That info had never appeared on Ancestry. That is grandad, most details agree. The other details will keep me busy. His only known spouse was Anna with whom my parents lived in the early 1940's, and who shares the gravestone. Keep up the good work

I noticed your posting of
my Grandfather with a short bio at Hope Cemetery Worcester Mass. Wondering where the parents and spouse names were found. My family tree is very short in that direction ? Thanks, Dave

|Bob Brown||RE: Benjamin Brown #107049727|
I think he was buried in Center Cem. which is reasonably close to the Brown Homestead in Townsend. I wonder if he bought a lot in Center Cem. when his wife Azuba died in 1839 or even when their 6 day old daughter died in 1811. If so, no record has appeared yet.
