We live in Lawrence County, IL and I have been doing family genealogy for about 23 years. We know how important it is when you can't travel 100's of miles to get pictures of your ancestors' tombstones and we are happy to help.
My husband and I are both retired and enjoy going to many cemeteries searching for ancestors. Larry has always helped me in any way he could and he does the photography.
You have our permission to use any photo we take for you in any way you please (it is your photo).

The Hoke in Rachel Ely is actually Hoch
Hello, Rachel Hoch Ely is my 1st cousin 6x removed. Yes, my database is rather large. Rachel's maiden name is Hoch. She is the daughter of Daniel Bertolet Hoch and Sarah Angstadt from Pennsylvania.
I hope this is of some use to you.

RE: Asa L. Martin
The only information I have about my great grandfather (and his wife Stella Johnson) being buried in that cemetery is from the coroner who performed the inquest following Asa Martin's death. I was able to call the woman who keeps the cemetery records and she told me there are several unmarked graves there with no record of who is buried there. My grandparents were notified immediately following Asa's death, and my grandfather never really knew his father so he didn't give reliable information for the death certificate. I found some info at the state library here in Indianapolis, and received other corroborating info from the librarian in Terre Haute, where they keep many death records and obits on southern IL and IN residents. I ordered the death certificates from the state registry and both listed that cemetery for the burial site for both Asa and Stella in St. Francisville.

Wrong Marker
Not sure who to send this note to, but you posted the wrong marker to the wrong grave. Rollie Osmon Jr.'s (#103292595)page has his father's grave marker. It took me a couple of times to catch it. The marker has the dates, Oct. 12, 1895 - Feb. 25 1981, while Rollie Jr.'s dates are Aug. 26 1924 - Oct. 12 1986.

Thanks so much for the picture of the old Pollard Cemetery sign. I was born & raised in Pollard but have never seen that sign. (This is Brandon's Mom)
