Bio

Before my mom passed away I started on the journey to discover my family ancestors. I don't remember how I was put in touch with my cousin but we meet about 5 years ago.

That meeting started me especially after the phone call to my mom. They talked for two hours and I spent the next day gathering photos of people she remembered. The past came to life for her when I brought them home. She enjoyed them for almost 2 years before she graduated to higher ground.

What was interesting is that the past also became part of my present. Now as of August 10, 2008, the tree is being redone. However, this wonderful resource was found as well as an increase of information. The tree now stands at 6,011 people. It grows every day with new discoveries. All because of a computer crash new life is growing. With the help of others for every question answered ten more come up.

For that reason I am glad to experience the ever expanding network on this long journey. As they say many hands make work lite. Lets all work together and see what else can be found.

Thanks a million times something,
Doug Powell
