Bio Photo Feel free to use my photos for your genealogy research, but please mention that you got the photo from findagrave.

Take photos on sunny days only!
Use a mirror to reflect the sunlight off of the stones lettering. I have a cheap $10.00 mirror that is about 4 feet high. I can hold the mirror in one hand, and take the photo with the other hand.
Another place to find your ancestors gravestone photos is on: just search for their name.

A complete and searchable listing of the Hale collection is now available on To find it, click on "search" at the top of the screen. Bring down the drop down list, and click on "card catalog". Then, in the search box, type in "Hale". Then click on it, and you can do a name search. Be advised that not all names come up, for example, people that are buried in the Fair Haven Union Cemetery in New Haven CT will not show up.

The Old Cove Burying Ground in East Haddam is in need of care, and we need volunteers to help clean up this ancient cemetery. If you live in the East Haddam CT area and are interested in helping to preserve this cem, please email me. At the moment, there are only three people who are taking care of this cem, and two of them are in their 80's!!! We need people who have ancestors in this cem to contribute! Please email me if you are interested.

My family names are: Kerber, Kerper, Hartsock, Gray, Houck, Carper, Harpster, Gault, all in PA. My extended family names are Miller, Hager, Stamschror, all in Minnesota.

Thank you very much for the transfer of Sandy's ancestors. We have already linked them to their daughter and will add more information.

Charles Burrows
Is my Charles Burrows,93104698, the same as your 93492617 or just a fluke? Could your Charles have been buried in Groton? I surveyed the Burrows cemetery in Groton and added the memorials. I have no connection and if you want management of 93104698, let me know & I will gladly transfer management so you can make the connections.

Hi Irma,

Since his burial place is right in your neighborhood, I'll add to the rather generic note I just made on his page. There's enough information between the (sparse) entry in Cullum's Register and the (fuller) AOG obituary, to put together a little bio on the Find-a‑Grave page.

The entry in Cullum is at
and if you can't find the AOG obit, just holler, and I'll put it up as well: my pages for some reason are much easier to find.

Kind regards,
Bill Thayer
