|I think this site is a wonderful resource for genealogists. I have been able to add birth dates, death dates, burial locations and even photographs and obituaries to many ancestors in my family history thanks to the contributors here.|
While I don't have plans to go to cemeteries to take photos on a regular basis, I do sometimes go to cemeteries in search of my own ancestors and I will photograph a few nearby headstones to add here in hopes that it will help others in their search. I also try to remember to check for photo requests before I go; I am happy to take photos to fill photo requests when I can because I know how grateful I am when one of my photo requests is filled!
I do not mind if the photos I post here on Find A Grave are used by others or posted elsewhere for their family histories; all I ask is that proper photo credit is given by adding this text with the photo:
Photo by EJ2005 via FindAGrave.com; used with permission.
I am also happy to transfer any memorials that are not part of my family to anyone who would like to maintain them.

I understand. My cousin & I are working on entering all the small local cemeteries and attempting to do as many connections with family as we can. The cemetery isn't all that far from my home, and it is on our list to work in.

Hi, I am trying to fulfill all the photo requests at Rose Hill Cemetery. The office said if the person wanting the photo contacted them they would look up the lot and block info for them. You get two free requests and it's 5.00 for each additional requests per the office manager. So if you still want your photo, call them and then let me know the info and I will be happy to get it for you. The phone # is 405-843-5771. G

You very welcome, Glad we could help.
|FranzJr||Re: Emma Bosanko, Mt Vernon Cemetery|
I am going to see if I can get out to the cemetery and am looking at the notes on some of the requests.
You are wishing to see if Emma's husband Richard is in Mt Vernon, right? Have you seen this:
Richard J Bosanko
He has about the correct birth-date... I looked on the census for James and found James and Mary. They had two kids (as of 1880)... Richard J. and Gertrude A. Also listed were 2 brothers: Samuel and Richard G.
Surname, GivenName, Age, Race, Birthplace, State, County, Location, Year
BOSANKO, RICHARD J., 7, W, KS, KS, ATCHISON, 3-WD ATCHISON, 1880
As far as I know, there are no other Bosankos at Mt Vernon, but I am only going by the records I have access to (Co Hist Society survey from 1980's).
I'm wondering if the Richard J I linked above could be the right Richard?
I'll see what I find when I get out there... let you know.
Have a great weekend :)

You are so very welcome!
Will you please tell me how you make some of your letters BOLD?
Thank you so much.

I am so sorry for your loss; your Uncle Neil was truly loved by the community.
I attended his benefit Saturday; I was happy to see that there were many people there showing their love and appreciation. I am so glad that he knew people were doing this benefit even though he was too sick to attend. He deserved that and much more.
My godchild works at the South Chicago Chamber of Commerce; so I knew of his passing.
I didn't know your Uncle Neil personally but I have always heard of the good things he has done for the community and of his true dedication. My sister remembers him cleaning in our alley (87th and Houston) many, many years ago. I asked her who was helping him and she said, "No one; he was working by himself". He was so dedicated at such a young age!
I entered Neil on Findagrave right away because I didn't want him entered by someone who didn't know him or knew nothing about him. There are a lot of people who will not transfer unless the person requesting a transfer is a direct line relative.
I will be happy to transfer ownership of his site to you, if you would like. I think you would be the best person to be the owner of his site because you are part of his family. You will be able to add a fitting obituary that includes his family, add family pictures and his many accomplishments.
I also notice you are new to Findagrave but have already entered many people on the site and you seem to a have a great interest in genealogy.
Please advise me of your wishes.
PS Please let me know about Neil's memorial service.
