All requests for transfers should be done through the EDIT tab, select the suggest a correction tab on the memorial, that you would like...and please do not forget to add YOUR Findagrave number. This is the method that I prefer because it is easier for me.
Transfer guidelines always apply. Transfer requests will be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Thank you.

We often wonder if the new memorials we create make a difference. This one definitely did. I had lost track of my sister and hadn't heard from her since last Thanksgiving. I was browsing ancestry.com for some other family details when I ran across the FAG notice for my sister. It wasn't the news I wanted to see, but it answered my nagging question. Thanks so very much for creating the memorial, without which, I might still be wondering for years what ever happened to her.

Very Interesting. Will do more research on this one as a Henry Hendon Holmes Jr, her son, was killed in China in 1918.
But I do have a grandson, Henry H Holmes, born abt 1923 info unknown. This may be memorial 56111094. His father was Nathaniel Floyd Holmes. Thanks for the heads up.

Hey Guts & Glory, I just now looked more closely at your photo of the bill board (about a smokin' HOT body) ... and thought, now that's funny!
I would apply to me too ... and I may have to steal that phrase.

Thanks Dave ... your kindest was unexpected (in posting my comments) and so, I am putting in a little more effort into those words to "get it right". I hope you will consider replacing my original comments with the better ones I am crafting now. Thanks.

Just a note to tell you I have noticed what a nice job you do on memorials you create. I think the family links are so important to take the time to research and make, even when it is for someone you've never met. Thank you for all you do on Find A Grave!
I wholeheartedly agree with your comment of not adding a living person to Find A Grave just because they share a headstone with someone who has passed. I also find that some do whole cemeteries including spouses or family members for the same reason. I wait until I see the obit before including (writing up) the memorial to make sure that everything is there. I also use Ancestry to make connections of who's who in the family. I will say that I have done duplications by mistake but I have also tried to contact the other contributor to see if they want to include something with no response back in most cases--this is usually with the people who were living at the time the first person did the memorial. I do it because I'm a finatic about connecting family members to them as well. Didn't know that Find A Grave will add info to another's memorial if it's provided to them (Read this in another person's message). Will have to remember this for the next time. Another thing that bothers me is when you request family member transfers (usually out of state) and usually don't get a response. It would be nice to have them do it or at least respond back as to why they won't--common courtesy. Most Find A Grave contributors are pretty decent about doing this but I have come across two/three in my area who won't; one being that there was no headstone pic, so no proof for them to look at. Others no response/acknowledgement. Thanks for letting me "rant". Also thank you for all of your contributions.

Hi! Adding the video clip was pretty easy. I used imgflip.com, but any .gif creating program will work, and there are lots of free ones online. With imgflip.com I loaded a short video clip, when it was made into a .gif file I downloaded it and then was able to upload it here. It compresses the file so that it is able to be used here and still come under the file size limit.
Have a great evening!
Thanks so much for the article! Greatly appreciate it!
The death day on it is a mistake... They used the date the obituary was originally published, which was a Friday. The obit said he passed on Tuesday. I checked my online 'Day of the Week' thingy and the 5th was a Tuesday, so it's all good. :)
I'm going to update his memorial on May 13 when he is inducted into the hall of fame.
Again, Thanks so much for passing it on!
