Thursday, February 19, 2015 - My computer no longer works and has been sent off for repair.|
I no longer make changes, additions, transfers from messages left on my contributor page. Please follow FindAGrave procedures by using the Edit tab on the memorial page to request changes, additions, request transfers, etc.
Thank you for following FindAGrave procedures.
Contributor Connie posted this. I thought it was such a great idea I posted it to my page! Thanks, Connie!
Find a Grave has implemented a new way to submit Edits! Unfortunately, there are far too many members for Find a Grave to notify everyone via email, so it's up to us to get the word out. If every member posts this message (or similar) in their profile, hopefully we can help spread the word.
To suggest a correction (SAC) click on the edit tab of the memorial that needs to be corrected. Then click on the link which best describes where your edit should occur. Enter your correction, when you're done, click submit edit. Your request will be sent to the manager of the memorial and will appear in the managers' profile under the Edits tab.
Managers will no longer receive emails. They must go directly to their profile page and click on the Edits tab. Managers can approve, deny or ignore, suggested corrections. It's quick and easy!
Requesting a transfer other corrections are still handled the same way. Click on "suggest any other correction or addition," type your message and press "send this message." The manager of the memorial will receive an email.
Please ask permission before posting my personal family photographs, photographs I have taken of grave stones or biographical material I have written from my memorial pages on this site to Ancestry.com or any other website or personal webpages.
Please see FindAGrave Frequently Asked questions for more information:
How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?
First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.
Many thanks to everyone who has contributed information and photos for my memorials. I usually link to the individual contributor using HTML code. If this is unacceptable to you just let me know you prefer to remain anonymous.

Thank you for adding the information regarding her marriages -- had that info been there initially, I would have known the reason the name "Pratt" appears in the marriage records.
And thank you for changing her date and place of birth, as those were incorrect on her memorial.

Thank you very much. I didn't realize how difficult this is to do. I will soon add a photo ow William King IV to his memorial. I also have a photo of the Rev. Mr. Sharp which I'm not sure will turn out but I think it will be OK. Both William and Mr. Sharp are at St. John's Georgetown you may recall. Thanks for you efforts there. There is one more sibling, Alice, but she may have been cremated and not buried. I will have to call my cousin. Another cousin has added photos to the memorials for Mr. and Mrs. Johnston. Also will be adding photos for Roberta King and Roberta's sibling Henrietta Wingfield (she's buried in Alabama unlike most Kings. Also have found pic of Alice Pond King which I will add. I knew the Rev. Fenhagan but do not have a pic. He was a very controversial reverend.

I know, sorry, I left a msg on your wall....I realized my mistake as soon as I hit send...thank you for all your work and again I do apologize,
|Brenda Pone||RE: Catherine Elizabeth Snodgrass Robinson|
I submitted corrections for 3 Magruder children that are incorrectly linked, according to the dates.
Memorial 73136617 has the Magruder obit that lists the correct children for William and Lizzie Magruder. The gravestone itself is really confusing and it appears that the photographer added the photos to the incorrect memorials?
If you compare the children and the siblings mentioned on the above memorial, there is a
Albert Merle Magruder, son and an Albert Merle Magruder, sibling..both with the same dates.
Hope this helps.

I'm glad you could see the humor. My lesson learned is to avoid working late into the night on FG!
Thanks, btw, for ALL the work you have done here. It's much appreciated.

With all due apologies, I did not realize you had already posted her memorial. I will remove the one I posted, but humbly request a transfer of her memorial to me. Grace is my husband's maternal grandmother. Thank you and thank you for calling this duplicate to my attention, as well as your many contributions to findagrave.com.
