"Grief can destroy you --or focus you. You can decide a relationship was all for nothing if it had to end in death, and you alone. OR you can realize that every moment of it had more meaning than you dared to recognize at the time, so much meaning it scared you, so you just lived, just took for granted the love and laughter of each day, and didn't allow yourself to consider the sacredness of it. But when it's over and you're alone, you begin to see that it wasn't just a movie and a dinner together, not just watching sunsets together, not just scrubbing a floor or washing dishes together or worrying over a high electric bill. It was everything, it was the why of life, every event and precious moment of it. The answer to the mystery of existence is the love you shared sometimes so imperfectly, and when the loss wakes you to the deeper beauty of it, to the sanctity of it, you can't get off your knees for a long time, you're driven to your knees not by the weight of the loss but by gratitude for what preceded the loss. And the ache is always there, but one day not the emptiness, because to nurture the emptiness, to take solace in it, is to disrespect the gift of life." ― Dean Koontz, Odd Hours ♥♥♥|

|Tom "Homer" W.||RE: Hello my old friend ♥|
Gosh Sandy, I am so sorry about your loss - I remember when you first met your Finney! You sure have had some hard knocks these past six-seven years and I am sorry for that, too! I did manage to make it back to Kirk Hill with my youngest son and took a bunch of photos of the abandoned cemetery and the hike back to it. I am still riding my Harley during the warm months and doing the same old things! Santa didn't bring me much (I've been naughty) but we still had a nice Christmas. Jesus is the reason for the season! Are you still in touch with our favorite California girl, Susan M.? I have been by your mom's and sister's graves several times and have an old pal buried there now and stop by to visit his grave from time to time. I can catch you up on a lot of things, just email me. Wishing you the best New Year that can be for you and wishing you the best of everything in 2014, God bless.

I was so moved by your family memorials. You are a special person who cherishes life and more so cherishes the moments that were given to you in live with family. May God Bless you and your family and know that your family that has moved on still watches over you and yours. They are your Guardian Angels and will take you to His Kingdom when your time has come. Until then, live your life to the fullest, because that is what they would of wanted for you. You are a beautiful person, we are blessed to have you here with us to share our days.

Just read your beautifully and heartfelt memorial tribute for your beloved mother. Smiled when reading about the Sears catalog with you and your mother.
Thank you for sharing those wonderful memories.
