~ I like to photograph grave markers so that a historical record is forever captured of those who were here before us. If you keep your family tree online, feel free to use any photo I've taken to enhance your tree. All I ask is that you make a note indicating the photo was found on FindaGrave. That way others who may not be familiar with this website will be introduced.

Taphophilia: an abnormal love for graves and cemeteries. The love of walking cemeteries and finding lost relatives and the gravesites of ancestors. [thanks to member #47477171 for helping me self-diagnose :) ]

THE STORY TELLERS
We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors.
To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve.
Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before.
We are the story tellers of the tribe.

James Kouvales
Hi, I just want to say thank you for providing information on James Kouvales. I have more research to do and James may be related to my great grandfather. What is weird is my ggrandfather also passed away in a mental state hospital in E. Moline IL and they both came to the US in 1906. Now I need to find out what James died from. This opens a whole can of questions now but the info you provided is a great start. Thanks again for taking the time to do this.

140536900 - Victoria Berdan
I was entering the photo of the crypt that Victoria is buried in. According to the records I have she was 60 at the time of death. Her record has her birth and death date as the same date. Just wanted to let you know.
Thanks and have a great day.

RE: Robinson /Flynn family in Toledo Ohio
You helped me so much with Lorraine, that now I am trying to locate marriage records for her and my grandfather. which leads me to what happened to her brother, and who was he married to?

135389029 Arheit
I photographed the headstone for Frederick Arheit. His record showed him buried at Toledo Memorial as well as the document that you attached to the record, but he must have been reinterred at Woodlawn. He is buried in Section 35 with his parents. I had the creator of the record change the location to Woodlawn, but he asked that I notify you as well since you had added the document regarding his headstone application.
