Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy work for over 25 years with brief intervals of inactivity when my life took different turns.

I love going to all the old cemeteries in South Georgia marveling at some of the old tombstones, some of which are quite elaborate and expensive even for that period of time, and thinking about how our ancestors lived. Since my husband and I shared so many ancestors (including at least three great-great-great grandfathers), it was an easy task getting information about our "kinfolk".

When my husband of nearly 40 years passed away in 2002 my enthusiasm for genealogy waned somewhat and I did little research for a couple of years; then I found the FindAGrave website and entered a few memorials. I absolutely love entering memorials and posting pictures of tombstones for so many of the South Georgia cemeteries which I have helped "survey" over the years thus enabling so many people access to this information. I especially like being able to link families and consider this one of the most important features of FindAGrave.

I believe when entering genealogy information one should always be open to criticism in order to get information as accurate as possible -- especially when it is posted on the internet for so many thousands of people to view. Though complete accuracy is so hard to achieve I will always strive for accuracy.....should anyone find incorrect information on any of my memorials please do not hesitate to advise. However, please keep in mind that other contributors have possibly given me incorrect information.

Pvt. William Henry Houston
Though my memorial page for Pvt. William Henry Houston was entered after the first, technically mine is not a duplicate since it's his actual burial place. The first memorial page actually makes reference to mine, so I feel it would be better not to delete either one.

George Vernie Solomon 90851407

I am the daughter-in-law of George Solomon. His middle name was spelled Vernie not Verney. I have made a correction request on his memorial page.

Thank you in advance for your consideration to the correction of his middle name.

Barbara, I think it will be fine to leave it. There are a lot of babies in that cemetery. He may have been one of ours. Good to hear from you.

Going back to prior messages ive seen that we've mentioned JoTracy:

I show in my personal records that Joseph W. Courson was the son of John B. Courson and Frances R. Phillips Courson. I do not know where Joseph W. Courson is buried but I suspect at the same cemetery where his wife Laura is buried....Pine Level in Bacon Co. There are a lot of unmarked graves there.

Sorry I cannot help more. But, I did link Hubert to his parents.

Im wondering if there is a way to locate John W. Courson and Frances R. Phillips Courson?

so sorry for the confusion, i'm new to this.
