|Joy Easterling||RE: question|
Hi Royce, My mother was Grace Jack Stewart (no middle name), youngest daughter of Nan, and my father Merry Sidney Stewart. b. 5/28/1905 d. 12/15/1989. His parents were Louise Shiver b. 02/11/1888 d.12/30/1975, and Thomas Paine Stewart, b.1884, d.10/16/1933. Louise Shiver Stewart also has a number of relatives buried in the Manchester Cemetery. "Big Mama" as we grandchildren called Louise lived in Atlanta with her son Jack Carl Stewart, Sr. and may be buried there. My father is buried in Huntsville, Ala. where he lived with his second wife (Dorothy). My mother is buried in Macon, Ga. with her second husband, Noel Bellman. I hope I haven't given you more information than you wanted.
Christmas Blessings, Joy
|Joy Easterling||RE: Nan|
Hi Royce, Thank you for your quick response. Yes, I sadly would appreciate the removal of the photo, even though it is of my parents, it is not of Nan. The photo with Georgia Dowlings' memorial does have Nan in it. From left to right, Georgia Dowling, Lillian Mahaffey holding son Jack, (Nan's daughter and grandson) and Nan Jack. Another correction would be the spelling of her middle name, Nancy Ardelia. Also if you are interested, Nan's husband died in California where he worked for the railroad. He died as a result of an on the job injury. I don't have the exact year but around 1911 or shortly after. Again, thank you for everything you have done . The Southern Cross and especially all of the information and documentation. And yes, the copy of the Civil War diary. Have a wonderful Christmas, Always, Joy
|Joy Easterling||WHT Dowling|
Dr. McDonald,you may not remember me, but we communicated briefly a number of years ago. My name is Joy Easterling, granddaughter of Nan Dowling. I am interested in making some corrections and additions to WHT Dowling's on line information. I have his family bible with all the names of his children and birthdates, also some other information. Do you know who is currently maintaining this information? I would also, with your permission, like to make or have made, some corrections to this Find a Grave site. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.
Sincerely, your "cousin" Joy Easterling

I would like to use your "note" on his memorial, do you mind? I believe people should know what happened. Or you could leave a message on it. Maybe that's the reason that a few names that I am researching in Malloy, don't exist.
