Calhouns Mt Pleasant
You have requested 3 pictures from Mt Pleasant for Virginia and two infants

I checked my database and did not find them but did find one stone with just the surname on it.

Can you check with the cemetery and find out what section they are buried in?

John W. Stone
Regarding proof of middle name. John's WWI Draft Registration Card lists his name as John Wesley Stone born March 10, 1873, nearest relative Belle Stone

Hi again!
I used to spend hours in libraries making copies of obituaries. The copies were awful and so I would retype all of them - on old electric typewriters!
Computers are sure making it a whole lot easier. :)
Glad this obit could clear up the confusion. It's so nice to be able to "prove" stuff.
As you can tell, I'm old, so better sign off for tonight.

RE: Samuel and Lillie Vaughn
Hi! I was updating some family history that I had done for my husband's family and Sam and Lillie were on my list. I also added their obituaries along with the gravestone picture. I'm so glad that it was something that I could do for you. This is a great website and it has helped me a lot in my research also. In fact, someone in OK helped me locate the burial place of my grandfather's sister. I had looked for her for 30 years or more! Recording memorials and gravestone pictures is very important for future generations. It's nice that we can all work together on this project. Thanks for your kind words and I'm glad my efforts have helped you. Good luck in your research.

Thanks for the catch on this...I have no idea what that was about. Jeez. I've removed the parents, will have to research who he was. And he really was, indeed, a He.
