I was born and raised in Fernandina Beach, FL. Growing up my mom was a nurse at our local hospital and my dad was a fireman. That means we knew a lot of local folks.|
I enjoy taking pictures and walking around in Bosque Bello Cemetery. I have a lot of family and friends there.
When I walk around a cemetery I don't think about all the people who have died. I think about all the people who once lived. They deserve to be remembered and I try to give them a memorial page for that reason. It's not about trying to post so many graves, it's about trying to help family and friends have a memorial for them and a family link for future generations.
I enjoy Find A Grave website and have really liked helping others get connected to their loved ones.
I am also here to link my family members. My father's side are Fender, Zorn and Taylor. My mother's side is Deen and Smart.
My husband's family are Rembowski, Griesemer, Mercer and Ramsay.
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
it is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

|Donna White||RE: Re: Laura Ford Hamilton|
MaLisa, Thank-you so much for finding and taking pictures of the Hamiltons. I am thinking Laura might be James' mother. I am not sure who Arthur is either, maybe James' brother? This is a very distant part of my tree...I am just obsessed with details sometimes. I appreciate all your hard work. I will try to research it further if you want to add Arthur on here. donna

Thanks for taking the photo of Mattie Sullivan's grave and posting it. I will let her friend know it was done. Merry Christmas.

There is no headstone for Nancy Brewer Gordon or Susan Gussie Gordon Johns that is what I have been told. Gussie is in Elim Cemetery in Long County, Georgia. She is buried between Martha Gordon and Solomon Eason Gordon. That is what my mother said.
|Susan Driggers||RE: Re: Linnie Fender Walker|
Sorry I haven't been on Find a Grave or Ancestry.com in many months. I started a new job and kind of laid it aside! My email address has changed to email@example.com. Please contact me and I will share what I have found about the Fenders and what pictures I have. I remember great-grandma Linnie being at my mama's house in Nicholls. My granddaddy Dewey lived on our farm in his last years. I remember her seeing a cow in Daddy's far pasture and seeing what color it was! She has great eyesight to be as old as she was and I remember her dipping snuff!!

I am unsure if I ever replied to you. I am sorry if I haven't.
I would be interested in receiving your information on this family!
Thank you very much for your contact, and forgive me for being late in responding.

Hello MaLisa: My sincere apologies for the delay in responding to your request of adding the full obit concerning your Uncle. I transferred the memorial to your care instead because I believe that memorials should be with family if at all possible. I am again so sorry for the delay.

|Judi Kowalski||RE: Thank you for the photos!|
Yes I'm related somehow, some way, though it may be a remote and distant link, or else I wouldn't be interested in hers and her husband's Find A Grave memorials. Thanks for asking and for the photos - again! Judi
