In the 1980's I started researching my Linn ancestors (without benefit of computer) but got busy with my sons' activities and put it on hold. In 1999 a cousin got me involved with my Steinberg ancestors and I have been going full speed ahead ever since. |
Upon graduating from the University of Illinois my father obtained employment in the State of Washington, far from any relatives. My ancestors (after entering the USA)settled in Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Montana, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio and New Jersey - I want to experience first hand where and how they lived so I travel the country obtaining data, meeting people, seeing the sights and tramping cemeteries. I missed the "cousin experience" growing up and think that is why I enjoy genealogy so much -- meeting new cousins (who cares if they are 1st or 10th cousins)and sharing our family histories.
I am researching Linn, Gibson, Weir, Scott, Polk, Steinberg, Koerner, Mitten, Bennett, Switzer (Swisher), Slonaker, Shaw, Goff, Townsend, McCarty and Whitehead, Miller, Schroen, Glabe, Schafer/Schaefer/Shafer. I am also reseaching Dishon, Deshon, DeShon, Deschamps and Herrold for my two sons.

This cemetery is completely unmaintained. The current owner has not respect for those that are buried there.I did find out that LESLIE CLARK is buried in Section K.However, due to the unkept nature of this cemetery I could not locate a footstone or headstone.

You are welcome. I sent edits for Violet's GPS and last name.--Storres
|Storres Myers||RE: William Reeder|
The monument is inscribed 4 children of William and Eva H. Their markers are not in this plot. Don't forget to do library research on Violet Linn, your request in Cedar Hill.--Storres

You posted a photo of Emily De Costa's headstone on her memorial page. I am trying to find her husband, Frank S DeCosta Sr, who died on 13 Aug 1976 in Honolulu, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Do you know if he is by his wife, Emily?

You are welcome. I also uploaded a photo for William Reeder 1861-1894. One side of the monument is a memorial to 4 children of William and Eva H.--Storres

Thank you, that clarifies things. I took a copy of the marriage license and made some minor corrections.

I think that you are right on Mary. On Clarence it's hard to tell on dates. I have a problem on other lines with the census saying how old the child is, even though I have other reports saying the date is about 3 years off. I did notice that Clarence is not buried with Mary - but back then I think it is just where you died. If you want to "edit" the information I will accept it. I did change her middle name to Easter though, instead of "E".

You're welcome! We have emailed in the past about our Linn relatives in Piper. And I think you sent a letter to my mom, Andi Froelich Fish.
