|Katie Lou||RE: wendell piper|
can you click on the edit tab of wendell's memorial & label it "transfer" so I can have a link to wendell's memorial as well as YOUR FIND-A-GRAVE MEMBER # please?

Not a problem although someone had already posted a photo on Find A Grave of Mary Lou.

Glad to be able to lend a hand. I don't know all the in's and out's of Findagrave and still learn new things all the time. If you ever have a question about getting something done, feel free to ask. I'll help in any way I can. Good Luck in your research! Dianne

I see that others have also given you the tip to use the edit function. Please also give your relationship to the person for whom you are requesting the transfer.

Please read my profile page - for courtesy, :
"I'm happy to transfer management to family members, just ask! Please use the "Edit" tab and "Suggest a Correction" when doing so and remember to give your member#."

|Janet Muff||Eliphalet Pattee|
I would prefer not to transfer Eliphalet Pattee to you as I have been researching the early families of Poultney for many years and have put a lot of time and effort into not only the research but locating and photographing the gravestones. If you have information you'd like me to include in his memorial, however, please send it to me.
As you are relatively new to find-a-grave, you may not be aware that there are guidelines about asking for memorials to be transferred:
"Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree . . . Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren . . . Explain your relationship in the request! Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related to the memorial and may not make the transfer.

It might be helpful for you to read through the 'help with Findagrave' section located on the left side of your screens. It contains some very informational FAQ's that might be of use to you. I looked at your Vermillion's, but they aren't (so far) part of the ones I'm researching. I noticed you have quite a number of BU's (burial unknowns) and would refer you to the following rule in the FAQ's: How do I add a memorial when I'm not sure what cemetery they are buried?
This is similar to adding a memorial for cremation. Do not create a new cemetery which does not exist in order to add these memorials. Location of body unknown should be used for recent deaths where the disposition is not currently known. Final disposition should be determined and updated within 30 days. Please accept my sincere apology and I hope I'm not offending you; I am just trying to help a newer member get acclimated to the site. Regards, Dianne
