I have just seriously started researching my family tree in 2010. Surnames included in the AL/TN/OH/NC/SC/WV/PA areas, Craig/Norris/Gatlin/Edwards/ Noble/Hendrix/Sanderson and more. From my sister-in-law's side in the WV/TN areas, Wiley/Frye/Dingess/Nelson/Amburgey and more. |
I wish I had realized when I was a youngster the importance of just sitting down awhile and listening to my grandparents and family speak of previous generations. Now, working with my family's genealogy brings a sweet and calming peace to my life. Just walking in the cemeteries does the same.
I consider my work with Find-A-Grave, a tribute to my loved ones, family and friends, from long ago to the near present. I love them all dearly, whether I knew them or not. I can thank each and every one of them for playing a part of my existence and for that I am grateful. My work now is a small price to pay for that gift...
As for any photographs that I have taken during my many trips through various cemeteries... any may be used, downloaded, and/or shared in any POSITIVE way, shape or form. I know how excited I get when I find a photo I haven't seen. I DO NOT invoke any copyright restrictions on mine and am so happy to share. That's what life is all about. I do however ask that you please use my name as your source if you choose to copy a photo that I have taken.
I can be contacted at: email@example.com

Hello Sherry I found you here on Findagrave sound like you have the same regrets as most when we start looking for answers to a lost ancestor. I came upon you in looking for my ancestors. because your line runs into mine. The Riddles from Laurens Co. South Carolina. They had 12 children my great grandfather was Berry Riddle who was killed in the Civil War at the mine explosion in Virginia. Melmouth Riddle was the line I found you in . If you are interested you can reach me at

Sherry - Thank you so much for making the changes to the Memorial!!
|Maureen (Dacus) Blackburn||Re: William T Dacus FAG#8275782|
Sherry-I think there is a lot of confusion on this Memorial. From all information I have, Susannah Church was married to Archibald Dacus and Elizabeth Cogburn was married to Arthur Arter Dacus. I feel that both of those names and the list of children for each of them should be removed. The bio itself needs to be changed, leaving only Critty Wade Dacus as a spouse and the children listed for her. I would deeply appreciate your help in correcting this.

|Joshua Gregg||RE: Picture (JOHN NELSON GREGG SR. #96248482)|
Hi Sherry, On the John Nelson Gregg Sr. Memorial I must have missed typed John Junior is in Blacks Chapel for sure. John Sr seems to be in question some say Tennessee I've been told Mississippi. In all truth I doubt there is any certainty. But to correct what must have been my previous mistake it is Definitely John Nelson Gregg Jr. in the Blacks Chapel Cementery. Thanks for all that you do.
|JCoggins||Margaret Cansada Foster|
Margaret Foster married my ggg grandfather, William Coggin, in 1849. They were married in Lauderdale County, Alabama. Does anyone have any information on this family?

|Janice Cady Forler||Wrong birthdate|
At the bottom of the information about Uncle Franklin, the date of his birth is listed as 1933 instead of 1913. That should be corrected.

|deegraver||RE: Samuel Scott|
you are welcome.
can't wait to see the updates and bio you are going to add.
This Samuel Scott is not the one that married Christina.
This one lived in Amelia County later. His father, George died in 1814.
|John Awbrey||Henry Marion Cox|
I have an obituary for Henry Marion Cox. If you would like a copy please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. It has some information that will change some information currently on the memorial.
