I live in Converse County, Wyoming and have done genealogy work and lookups for people for years. I enjoy helping people find their ancestors!

I volunteered at the Douglas Library a couple years ago to make copies of all obituaries in Douglas papers from 1885 to the present and put them in notebooks so they are easier to find. At present I have about 10,000 and am still going! If you need an obituary I will try to find it for you.

I have access to the book "Pages from Converse County's Past" which has many stories of Converse County pioneers; and I will be glad to check the index for you.

RE: Walker-Masterson news articles
That sounds fine. On, I found a California death listing for Maggie (Masterson) Romaneck's son Harvey Lester HARGRAVE, b. 21 Feb. 1913 Wyoming, d. 15 Aug. 1992 Los Angeles. Do you have an obituary for him? Sharon

Walker-Masterson news articles
I've been trying to send you the newspaper articles on the Walker-Masterson trials, but my emails keep bouncing. I'm not getting it through to either of your email addresses. Do you think the attachment of newspaper articles might be too large for your internet service? These were two trials over a two year period. Do you want me to print it out, then send it to you by way of regular mail? Sharon

RE: Charles Masterson trials
Yes, two. And a hung jury each time, possibly due to everyone during the incident having been drunk and there having been conflicting testimony. It probably helped Charles, also, that he had a tiny son with another on the way when the incident happened. Sharon

Charles Masterson trials
Soon when I can get to it, I plan to send you copies of the newspaper articles that Jerry found on the two Charles Masterson trials related to the Walker-Masterson tragedy. I will be writing something about the tragedy for Maggie's memorial. As far as I can tell so far, it appears that the miners were drinking and a friendly argument between Raphael and Charles about the mining procedure escalated into a fight that may have been self-defense with Charles shooting Raphael. Both trials had hung juries because of the conflicting testimony. I'd love to find someone on the Charles Masterson branch who remembers hearing about the 1926 incident and the effect it had on Charles and the other family members. According to the newspaper accounts, Charles and his uncle had been good friends before that happened. Raphael, Charles, and the other miners present appear to have all been drunk at the time of the tragedy. Sharon

Zinta Shannon
Hello, I'd like to know if you have an obituary/anything for a woman named Zinta Wagner Jensen Shannon. She would have been the mother to Doris Jensen Shannon Garst.

You have an image of Doris' Douglas Park Cemetery headstone on Find A Grave with some information about her life along with details concerning her husband. If you have anything on Zinta, I'd be most interested.

Thanks for you efforts in Converse County!

Please take a look at Raymond Bishop's memorial 156677028. You manage his mother. I'm not sure if he is buried at the Douglas Park cemetery, or at the Bishop Family Cemetery as the obit suggests. I did establish the Bishop Family Cemetery-Douglas WY.

I suppose as the last ditch effort, I could call Gorman's Funeral home?

RE: Julia McGrew
Yes there is and her children need added. I was so amazed by her history in Converse Past along with McKibbens. Julia's daughter Blanche is who wrote history of her family, so so great.

I see you have pending updated information for Julia, was you able to find her birth year and did you add her information from the Converse county past book?
