Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Caryn Dugo, and I am originally from Chicago, IL, although I am currently living in Colorado. My family ties are definately midwest, (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania) but I am only 3rd generation American born. The family names I am researching are both Sicilian (Altavilla Milicia) and Northern Italian (Pont Canavese north of Turin), and Polish--Dugo (D'Ugo), Picchiottino (and shorter spellings), Bausano, Chiovino, Tarasiuk, Swiokla, Szwedka. I have been lucky enough to find cousins on both sides of the Atlantic, ranging from 3rd to 5th generation.
Joining findagrave has been something I could really get into, as I have sooo much information, and needed a place to share it. I especially love the older cemeteries with the monuments that have pictures embedded in them. It gives me more of a feeling of family, rather than just dealing with names and dates. For me, Genealogy is more of a passion than a hobby.
I recently started helping another volunteer do the entry work for the pictures he is taking in Pittsburgh cemeteries. We are presently working on Calvary Catholic Cem (on Hazelwood). Unfortunately, due to some of the angles of the pictures taken, I cant always read the stone. If I have entered your relative's information incorrectly, I will and can make changes, or I will be happy to transfer your relative to you. (thru the edit button, not in messages please!)

I saw your memorial for Richard Guzy, his wife was my wifes Grand mother, so if you would like to link her (Joy Marie Guzy) as his spouse her memorial number is 11570754. Thank you.

Lake View Cemetery - Calumet Michigan
Hello Caryn Dugo. I can't get anymore grave locations for the Lake View cemetery (they have a fee for more than 5 requests and I have exceeded that number). If you would call the cemetery for the locations of any graves you would like to have pictures of and put that information with the photo requests, I would be happy to take the pictures for Find A Grave. The cemetery office will close around Nov 1, but the cemetery will be open until the snow gets to deep for access. The phone number is on the Lake View page.

RE: Frank Tarasiuk
I'm so sorry that this happened. I will keep an eye out for you, but it is a huge cemetery with most graves not online yet (I put about 1800 or nearly 1/3 of all of the graves currently online at the cemetery just last year, but probably 40,000 to go). You might try calling back one more time in a couple of weeks on a different day. You could get a different response. Sometimes they will help me in the office, but I do understand that it is a business. Keep your fingers crossed - their graves might just be near someone else I am helping and I see them. Ace

Mt Carmel-Abbinanti
Hi Caryn-You've got a page for Mariana Abbinanti. I know she was previously on the request list. I checked today and there is no headstone or memorial for Mariana but where she is buried is a monument for the following:
Francesco Abbinanti-(26 Dic 1912-11 Mag 1918)
Francesca P Abbinanti-(27 Dic 1909-6 Lug 1920)
There are photos for both of the children. If you create a memorial page for them let me know and I'll post the pictures.
...Mary
